Last weekend, with the help of local DJ collective @clubmorph , led by @leonce and @jsport_ , @tayloralxndr staged @redbullmusic : ATL Is Burning Ball, a combination dance party and ball that offered a rare glimpse into the world of southern ball culture for the uninitiated. DJs spun tunes until 1:00 a.m., after which a full-on ball, with 20 categories to compete in, took place until 4:00 a.m. (they didn’t end up getting through all of the categories, naturally). Although fall is best known as boot season, wearing the heavy (and most likely heeled) option on the regular can become tiring for your feet. Luckily, flats now come in more stylish variations than the classic commuter roll-up stashed in your tote. This season, there are plenty of flat-soled items that are not only a comfortably chic option for long days at the office, but just as good for long nights out on the town, too. @AndreaValle , a singer and model from Philadelphia, counts her “big chop” as a defining moment in her personal and creative evolution. A self-described Renaissance woman, Valle delights in her hair’s opportunities for transformation, whether in color (blonde, Day-Glo green, and varying shades of pastel pink are a few of her go-to hues) or silhouette. “Switching up your look adds flavor to your life,” she says. “We both were born in the country, and since we live and work in New York City and travel the globe, the one thing we very much love now is getting off the grid,” says photographer @Coreytenold about having a wedding on a farm. “We’ve both joked about quitting it all and buying a farm, so this was kind of a fantasy location for us, but also one that we are familiar with and is meaningful.” Tap the link in our bio to go inside Tenold and @walker_ash 's wedding. @randichristiansen and @naxelrod have spent the past year thinking intensely about bodies—especially why we don’t apply the same obsessive label-reading that usually attends our facial skin-care routines to the products we apply below the neck. @necessaire , the duo’s five-piece unisex line launching this month, is the fruit of all their brainstorming. “No one is thinking about body care holistically,” notes Axelrod. “Why is it split into five aisles at CVS?” Tap the link in our bio to learn more about how the brand plans to elevate body care for bed, bath, and beyond.
