There are only two weeks left to experience winter at @thenightmarket which runs on Wednesday evenings at @vicmarket. Arrive early and grab your warm apple cider or hot chocolate to sip on as you browse the arts and food stalls. Come hungry so you can try as many cuisines as you can and save room for dessert (tiramisu, fondue or pancakes to be specific). Photo by @stephyoungphotography #visitmelbourne #melbournetwist
A winter wonderland park popped up in Mount Macedon yesterday. Just an hour out of the city, Macedon Regional Park can sometimes surprise visitors with a little (or a lot) of snowfall, transforming the park into an icy, white playground. Dogs are allowed in the regional park, meaning you can also take your pup to experience a rare moment of snow.  If you're not big on skiing or snowboarding, but you love landscapes covered in a fresh fall of snow, keep up to date with the weather forecast in @daylesfordmacedonranges and find #yourhappyspace in #visitvictoria . Looking for a great view of the city? Take a tram down to St Kilda where you can enjoy fine dining along the Esplanade, live music and sunsets by the beach. If you're more of an early bird, visit on a Sunday to explore an array of arts and crafts at the @esplanademarket. Follow it with a walk from the foreshore to the greenery of Catani Gardens, where you can spend a relaxing afternoon lying down and looking up at the palm trees. The sunshine is lasting a little longer and feeling a tad warmer as we get closer to spring - perfect for finding #yourhappyspace in one of our many parks. Lerderderg State Park is just over an hour from Melbourne, waiting to be discovered on your next outdoor adventure. Try the Heritage River walk which starts at the charming @gardenofsterth. Enjoy a leisurely stroll amongst stringybark and giant ferns, then listen out for the quiet trickle of the Lerderderg River. The park is also just half an hour from @daylesfordmacedonranges where you can try a glamping experience or stay overnight in a spa resort. Make sure to share your favourite hiking places by tagging #yourhappyspace #visitvictoria . Photo by @elizasum #daylesfordmacedonlife
We never get sick of photos of the bustling crowds crossing towards Flinders St Station. The station's fresh coat of paint brings out all the fine details of the building's architecture. It also lights up at night, so you can't miss this iconic, golden structure amidst the city skyline. Make sure to visit and embrace the commuter atmosphere during both the day and night for the full experience. Photo by #visitmelbourne #melbournetwist
That time of year has come around again. With spring only a few weeks away, the daffodils are already popping up in the fields of @visitgippsland. This picture looks like it's come straight from a postcard, with the subtle fog and rolling hills in the background. You almost feel like you're right there, tasting the fresh air and feeling the morning breeze. Enjoy these views on your next drive through Victoria and don't forget to share and tag #yourhappyspace #visitvictoria . Photo by @photography_by_anne_morley #inspiredbygippsland
With a laneway called ACDC Lane, a lightning bolt striking through the street sign and a Bon Scott sculpture emerging from the walls, can you deny our city's love for live music? Let's not forget the rock 'n' roll-inspired street art or the intimate music venue, @cherrybarmelb. Founded in 1999, the bar provided a launch platform as well as song inspiration for local bands such as @jet.theband. It now opens seven days a week with local bands and DJs playing into the night - duck in next time you're here to truly experience what ACDC Lane is all about. Is #yourhappyspace on top of mountains, where you can feel on top of the world? Because this picture certainly captures this feeling, next to Crystal Brook Falls on Mount Buffalo. As the fog surrounds the mountain, covered in fresh snow, you'll feel like you've been transported to somewhere up in the heavens. Rug up and enjoy this magical view by yourself, with your partner or your photographer buddy...and don't forget to share a snap of #yourhappyspace along with #visitvictoria . Cape Schanck is a popular attraction in @officialmorningtonpeninsula but head there at sunrise like @lukedavidphotos and enjoy the morning calm along before the peak visiting periods. To get down to Pulpit Rock (pictured), a formation created over millions of years ago, take the winding boardwalk that descends to the beach. There are some longer hikes that connect with Cape Schanck if you want more of a challenge, otherwise, take your time studying the colours reflecting off the rock pools and discover #yourhappyspace . Cold weather doesn't stop the food and drink adventures when in Melbourne. Tread down laneways like Duckboard Place, past street art and follow neon signs. Try the likes of @leehofook for a modern Chinese dinner or @tonkarestaurant for our upmarket twist on Indian cuisine. If you fancy a late night tipple, there are many options waiting around the corner. Make a dash with your brolly - cosy up in the four-storey @gardenstatehotel or perhaps, opt for theatrical cocktails in the 1920's-themed @edvmelbourne. Who knows where your night will end? Sunsets are a bonus when you head out to #yourhappyspace in regional Victoria. Located at the southern tip of @phillipisland , Cape Woolamai is a popular spot for a view of the island's jagged coastline. There are several different walks you can take to reach this viewpoint. Pause and relax - it's the perfect place to catch your breath. As you stand, hypnotised by the waves, you may also catch sight of some local mutton birds or whales, so don't rush and stay a while longer in #yourhappyspace .
