It's August! I realize I haven't posted since the end of June, but that doesn't mean there's been nothing to share. Actually, July was quite the busy month! ~
In the last few weeks, I've taken my first solo cross country overnight trip, had an excellent visit from my parents, interviewed and was then turned down for a job, made a trip to Salmon Lake to hang out with friends, got some more quality time with B, co-developed a new interpretive program with @ashcathall
, had an awesome visit to Hockett Meadow Ranger Station with @ashcathall @ana_lisa @coffeecavillmt @unsavorypalindrome
and saw the almost miraculous start and end to what could have been another disastrous fire not far from my station.
The break from social media was not only practical but necessary. With so much going on, it's easier for me to process everything when I'm truly present. That means living and feeling exactly what is happening when it is happening and who it is happening with. It also means letting go for a bit of the dual personality effect of social media. Live and breathe the life into my actual being and not my online presence, even if it means putting a pause on communicating with other people I care about. ~
I'm not sure that things have really slowed down yet, but I'm at a point now that I'm willing and able to tend to things both ahead and behind of my immediate situation. Maybe more posts and photos, maybe better correspondence. No guarantees. 😉
