As we gear up for a new week, consider this. ☝️ - Do you remember the guy who gave up? Neither does anyone else! Nothing of value comes easy. Have patience for the journey because it’s going to take time. - Stay faithful. Slow and steady is the mindset! - “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chron 15:7 - Tag someone who needs to hear this and talk to me in the comments. ❤️
Yo worship family... I get asked all the time, “how do I get the new sound?”.... my answer is always the same. The “new sound” isn’t necessarily a new instrument, a new pedal or the newest, coolest software. And I know many will be surprised to hear that the “new sound” doesn’t necessarily come from heaven either. . The “new sound” is AUTHENTICITY. When sons and daughters release their authentic, indigenous worship on a banjo or through software or any other way, the authenticity that shines through their expression will always be relevant! . You’re not going to be the next “so and so”...you’re going to be the first YOU. Don’t just copy others, release YOUR sound and song. . Tag every worshipper you know so they can see this too and hit me up in the comments.
My friends, I honestly believe that one of the marks of a mature worship leader is to write, create and release your own sound and songs. . It’s cute when a baby mimics it’s parents voice and words but part of growing and maturing is to discover your own voice and words. I feel like the same could be said for worship and for the songs we sing. (Again, I’m specifically talking to worship leaders etc.) . Everyone starts by copying examples, but don’t stay there! . Never underestimate the power of YOUR authentic, sound or song! Singing your song from the truth of your season will set people free! . Don’t just be an echo, be a voice! . Tag a worship leader/singer/songwriter and talk to me in the comments.
Family isn’t just an important thing, family is everything. - Family doesn’t happen at a 1hr rehearsal or a 45min worship set once a week. Family happens when you laugh together, cry together, break bread together, work through offenses, walk in humility towards one another, champion one another, and you commit to one another beyond “seasons”. - Psalm 68:6, “God sets the lonely in families...” - Many build worship teams but few build worship families. Tag your worship family! 💪
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity...the Lord commands His blessing on it.” Psalm 133 . One of the most important practical things you can do in a corporate worship setting is to get unity in the room. After all, unity is what the Lord commands His blessing on! . You may be burning for more than what you currently have liberty for in your church community but what’s more important in the corporate context is that you are a team player. . Instead of releasing a competitive or striving spirit into the atmosphere, why don’t you release one of preferring one another, unity, and humility? . If you want more freedom in worship as far as no time restraints, more room for the prophetic etc and it’s not available on a Sunday morning, simply ask if you can host a monthly night of worship where the only agenda is worship. That way you can submit to leadership and have an outlet for a little more freedom. . I know you have some opinions about this. Tag a pastor and/or worship leader and talk to me in the comments.
One of the most important questions you can ask yourself is, “why am I doing what I’m doing?” AND, “who am I doing it for?”... . Before you go to bed tonight, have a serious conversation with God and with yourself about this and make sure your motives are right. . I love you guys and believe in every single one of you! . Where are you reading this from?
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Prov 22:6 . Parents, the best way to teach your kids about worship is to set the culture in your home. . That’s why I always say, “the greatest worship movement is the one that starts in your home”. . Church, Sunday school, programs etc are all great but if the kids aren’t seeing YOU set the culture of worship/prayer/presence in your home, you’re missing a it. . Tag a parent and talk to me in the comments.
I love these kids more than life itself. For many years we were told that we couldn’t have kids. But God had different plans. . Read this amazing post my wife @lindsey_pino wrote recently about our #infertility journey... . #Repost @lindsey_pino ・・・ They were worth the wait, worth the prayers, worth the tears... WORTH IT ALL. If you’re going through infertility hang in there. God has a GOOD plan for you. He hasn’t forgotten you, He hears you, and He’s with you. . Everyone’s journey through this is unique and requires the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Mine was one of letting go of my own plans and opening my heart up to God’s dream for my life, of learning contentment in all seasons and patience with God’s timing. Although it was extremely hard and I kicked and screamed through most of it, the lessons I learned through that season have given me something of eternal value. . Now that I’m on the other side of it I’m here to tell you that I’m THANKFUL (not bitter) for what I gained through that hard time. Lean into Him today, listen to what He’s saying, learn what He may be trying to teach you, and trust in His goodness. . Hugs to all of you that find yourself on that road. You are not alone. 🤗 . If you or someone you know would like prayer for this subject, tag them and/or leave a comment. I would love to pray for you. . Photo cred: @jenniferrudolphphotography
My friends, as you wind down for the night remember, you can’t trust in the strength of what worked last time. You have to be intentional to listen to His voice and obey what He says if you want to advance int this new season. . Tag someone who is going into their promised land this year!
My friends, before Elisha was known for his anointing, he was known for the way he served Elijah... . “Jehoshaphat asked, "Is there no prophet of the LORD here, through whom we may inquire of the LORD?" An officer of the king of Israel answered, "Elisha is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah." 2 Kings 3:11 . Remember, the way you serve today will be the way that you will be served tomorrow. There is no insignificant service! . Attitude, heart posture, faithfulness, all counts. If you would like to see those kind of qualities in the people that work for you one day, then be that person today. . No matter what season you’re in, serve with a sweet heart! . Tag someone and talk to me in the comments.
What makes heaven, heaven? Jesus of course! In fact, if Jesus wasn’t in heaven, would you really want to go? . My point is this, salvation isn’t about fire insurance. True salvation is about daily communion, daily fellowship with Jesus. . You don’t have to wait until you die to experience heaven. You can experience heaven right now. His name is JESUS. . Tag someone who REALLY loves Jesus. ❤️
“...Be transformed by the renewal of your mind...” Romans 12:2 . A stronghold is a mindset that has a “strong hold” over a person, city, or nation. And every thought that you give place to is another “brick” that you lay towards that stronghold. . Nothing gets transformed in your life until your thought process about that subject is transformed. This is no small task. . Stop believing and agreeing with lies and start believing and agreeing with what God says. . Are you building a Godly stronghold or a stronghold of lies? . Tag a friend who needs REAL transformation! 💪
