This flavour gets a big phattttt wowwwwwww from me. ⬇️ . 1. It tastes like those old school coconut biscuits, the ones grandma gets out and insists you eat whenever you come over. 2. There's little chewy bits of coconut in it, so good. 3. You can't tell it's dairy-free, there's no aftertaste. It's low-keying the veganness. 4. Legit the creamiest and most epic texture of a halo top flavour yet. 5. 320 for the whole tub aka 3 bananas aka 3 slices of toast aka 1.5 standard protein bars. 6. Almost gotta grow them outta proportion. With this understanding, I've been going hard at lower abs all year long! πŸ† . Some lower ab moves as of late: . 1. Seated knee raises (bodyweight or dumbbell between feet): awesome weighted alternative to hanging or traditional leg raises. 2. Dragonfly's: keeping your body so straight on a difficult negative will set your lower abs on πŸ”₯ 3. TRX tucks: sickening ab compressions, leaves you hurt for days. 4. Seated straight leg raises: standard move in prep for the next. 5. Kettlebell (or paralette) L-sit: great to train static (or still, timed under tension) lower ab strength. . β›°οΈπŸƒβ›°οΈπŸƒβ›°οΈ So, ya boy hiked the Koko Railway Trail yesterday! It's one of the more challenging trails in Hawaii. Bypassed the easier and better-known Diamond Head trail for this - all the tourists cram into DH apparently, let's not 😊 . Koko's trail is basically an old, steep and very run down rail track (every step is uneven and on an incline). There's also the very real risk that losing footing could result in a nice tumble back down, lovely. It was leg day and the hotel gym had no squat racks, sorta had no choice but to do it πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜… . It was a good challenge! 1050 steps later I had leg, calve and glute DOMs that hurt to the touch - that bad(/good). . Awesome experience though (before we got rained on on the way back down). 🍍PINEAPPLE 🦐 . Fact: Pineapples contain an enzyme called bromelain. It actually breaks down proteins in your mouth, hence that abrasive texture in your mouth after. When you eat a pineapple, it's low key eating you back lol πŸ˜… . Bromelain's a natural anti-inflammatory though, and I've been smashing it since landing in pineapple-abundant Hawaii to rid me of my sore throat πŸ₯‡πŸ™ . Pineapple also takes a shrimp/prawn dish up a notch, holy wow.. (not pizza though) . Hawaii is brimming with shrimp trucks, I found one at Waikele Outlets and went with the suggestion of the 3 little old lady's working the truck 🎲 . It's Pineapple Shrimp served with rice, a side of kimchi and a wasabi mayo-topped salad. Wiped the tray clean and knocked it back with some of their fresh lemonade. . Alot of the food here is an inherent Japanese/Hawaiian infusion and they sure love their simultaneously sweet/sour sauces. The sunset over Waikiki, Hawaii! πŸ€™ . Just got myself a data plan, hence the silence and very few updates. We landed on Thursday for 10 days! So many breathtaking beaches and the culture is that rich that there are stories in almost every block on Waikiki. . Impressions: β€’ It'll feel like you've stepped into the 80s or GTA Vice City, retro summer vibes. β€’ Heaps of Polynesian charm, everyone is super happy and friendly. β€’ A tonne of Native, US and Japanese history here beyond the tourism. β€’ Prepare to get milked. Expensive af when you convert to the weaker AUD $. β€’ Renting a car has changed the game for us, do it. So many doors opened to new adventures instantly, and ubers only get you so far when wanting to go to other sides of the islands. β€’ Give the random shops a try, you'll never what you'll find. In my case, I ran into @marlonwayans (White Chicks, Don't Be a Menace, Marlon show, etc.) in a shisha lounge at 3am! . ✈️ T-minus 4 weeks until I head to Hawaii for 10 days of adventure. Trying to tidy this winter body (which could be worse) back into a slightly better summer shape. . How will I do so? Slowly bringing my calories down a 100 per week, from 2400 now to 2000 by departure date. No fat burners, no fasts, no gimmicks - a calorie deficit is all there is to weight loss. Those of you that watch my story would've seen that I was in Auckland a bit ago. . While the city itself is much like Sydney and there isn't a whole lot going on, we stumbled across this Gelato place called @giapokitchen. 2430 reviews and 4.5 ⭐ on TripAdvisor & 1006 reviews and 4.6 ⭐ on Google Reviews. Knew it needed to be done. . The pictures tell a story I can't even begin to tell. Flavours on the menu unlike any I've seen (pic 2), and a thorough assortment of cones and accessories (what about that frame cone in pic 4!). . The service was pretty damn good as well - I was offered gourmet chocolate squares while I looked over the menu and offered shots of samples whenever my eyes hovered too long over a selection. Probably some of the best gelato I've ever had too.
