The end of September and we’re still swimming and hanging by the pool!
It is possible to love yourself even when you don’t like everything. It is possible to want to make physical changes such as losing weight or toning up while still appreciating the body you have and the skin you’re in.
I got my workout in late and the kids went to bed late because of it. But I got it done.
I’m just going with the flow at the moment with the craziness of summer and squeezing workouts in when I can. They aren’t super long or crazy and they are happening later than I’d like but they are happening.
Also the hip flexor is slowly getting better. I can do curtsy lunges now, which I couldn’t before. Any kind of plank is still a bit much, hence the modified push ups. So happy that it’s healing! Albeit slow but still heading in the right direction.
Things have been super busy these past few days. I’ve actually been pretty consistent with workouts with the exception of yesterday. Yesterday just got away from me. However it was a day spent with my kids and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Even though I didn’t get in an actual workout we have been doing a lot of swimming. And if you’ve ever been swimming with my kids you’d know that that’s a workout in itself. Lol
Anyway I squeezesdin a little HIIT workout tonight after dinner but before the kids went to bed. Now time to relax and get ready for another busy one tomorrow.
Anyone else’s kids on a Jojo Siwa kick? High ponytails and giant bows everyday lately.

Most of you know that my right hip flexor is acting like an ass, so I’ve been doing upper body the last couple days. Well my arms are so sore today I decided to do some lower body but back off when things hurt. I actually didn’t do too bad. Surprisingly step ups with a knee raise weren’t terrible. Rear lunges kill so I didn’t go as deep and counter clockwise leg circles are out of the question. All in all it wasn’t a bad workout. I got the legs burning and worked up a sweat which is really what it’s all about. I can’t wait to get back to full steam.
Another gradient with stamping. 🤷♀️ I’m just loving all the bright colors together! Definitely need to do something different next.
I actually do know what we’re having for dinner tonight. Only because Rob picked up some fish yesterday. 🤷♀️
Now what to serve with the fish. 🤔
My hip flexor is still giving me some trouble so I stuck with upper body again. I’ve looked into some stretches and exercises to do to help with it, hopefully it will help with the pain and heal it quickly.
Now this machine makes sense.
Over twenty years later and they still fit! Pretty impressive I know. 😂🤣
I wasn’t feeling great most of the day but I still wanted to get a workout in. So I chose to do a quick upper body workout. I went with lighter weights and higher reps. I don’t really feel all better but I do feel good that I did it.
Also I had a little stinker interrupt me and the punishment for that is getting attacked them with kisses.
Part of my workout today. I love to use weights while doing cardio, I feel like it gives you that extra oomph. Especially when you are keeping things low impact.
My knee is giving me a little trouble and I hurt my hip flexor about a week ago and it feels like it’s taking forever to get back to normal. Some would say rest but I feel like moving is what’s going to help heal it faster. I just need to take it a little easy on it. As for my knee, if you’ve followed me for any length of time you know that one is just something that has to be dealt with from time to time. 🤷♀️
Yesterday Ava had a pool party. We served up a ton of fruit for a snack. Talk about tasting the rainbow.🌈 😋
Some people don’t like to eat a lot of fruit because of the carbs and sugars in it. I however would much rather eat the fruit and serve it to kids rather than eat processed crap. God put fruit on this planet for us to eat. It has so many vitamins and nutrients in it. Oh and did I mention that it’s not processed.
It’s a match made in heaven.
