How does your morning start?
Possibly not like this. No, nor does mine, but spotted this chap early the other day and could have watched him for all the hours he spent taking amazing care dismantling the tree. The tree itself needed to come down before doing damage.
Tree surgery is a real art; get it wrong and it can end in disaster, but watching someone totally in control of what they are doing is quite spellbinding.
My mornings tend to follow a fairly set routine - my horses get first dibs - breakfast, hay, mucking out and then either turned out or ridden. My dog follows a similar pattern - hoping breakfast will come with a quick manure hunt before her proper breakfast and a quick walk.
Once my animals are done, a day's work follows. Client meetings, photo shoot planning, client updates and then a bit more planning.
Do you have a set routine or is it a little hit and miss depending on the weather or which side of bed you got out of!

I'm probably better known for my equine photography exploits than the weddings that I do, but nonetheless, being a wedding photographer is very much part of my work.
Each and every wedding is different to the one before or the one after and totally unique in its own way, even if within the same family.
Capturing the magic that is a couple's day is amazing. Building a relationship ahead of the big day is so important. It means I get to know them and their families; I discuss with them everything they want 'caught on camera' and indeed everything they don't want. Just as key to this for me is to do a recce of where they are getting married, so I can ensure the backdrops for the formal pictures are right. It also means I can work out timings - how long from the house to church and church to reception.
I make a point of meeting and photographing them in the months leading up to their day, so they can decide what suits them best, even to the point of having good and bad sides to be photographed from - strange to think your face may look different depending which side you are photographed from!
Part of having me as your wedding photographer is what happens afterwards as the role doesn't stop once the day is done. Sample prints, albums and digital images can all be included.
