From Chamonix, France to Zermatt Switzerland, I left behind blood, sweat, and tears. Sometimes it was the breathtaking views of snow capped peaks that brought tears to my eyes because there were no words for the beauty of the Swiss Alps and other times it was physical pain of blisters and sore muscles and the fight against the mentality of knocking another foot off the 49,867 ft of height gain the trail had for us to conquer that had tears flowing down my sunburnt, dusty cheeks. And I loved every second of it.
It is a trip that has left me proud and my soul has been filled with memories of laughter, dedication, friends, and chocolate croissants. Repost: @__ann.marie__
