Today I created a flow video for YouTube all about self love and a wrote a blog post to go along with it. The video will most likely be up tomorrow (I’m still working on the technical side of things) but the blog is live already. Let me share a little with you: ‘So what does self love yoga look like? Well as someone who has spent a large amount of her life revealing in self hate, self-love-yoga means healing. Which in turn means giving up all the things that make the destructive voices in my head louder. Those voices that tell me my yoga needs to make me sweat more; that tells me I am weak; that I need to be more flexible. It is the voice that makes me feel I need to work towards a specific shape or goal; rather than just enjoying the practice I first fell in love with’ ▪️ You can find the full post on my website and the video will be up tomorrow. Чую, ещё год и моя "копилка бесполезных навыков" пополнится умением завязывать шнурки зубами. Даже не знаю, как я жила без этого навыка... (спойлер - прекрасно😏). . Ненавижу прямую складку, самая беспонтовая боль в мире. Кстати, после 8 месяцев стретчинга, реально начинаешь ощущать весь спектр боли (это кстати ещё +1 в ту самую копилку, про которую речь вначале😀). Вот ты пришел впервые - и боль одна, просто тупо больно и всё. А сейчас нее. Сейчас - целый калейдоскоп 😀 Складочная боль, боль поперечно-шпагатная, боль поясничная и др., они все, черти, разные оказывается по ощущениям😀 Короче, мой внутренний мазохизм (в отличие от инстаграма) живёт и процветает. И это только поначалу неприятно. А потом ничего, втягиваешься))

I feel like the last few weeks has been so busy, with my two best friends getting married in Greece and then my twin getting married last weekend - it's been very full on! I was really worried that my practice would end up taking a back seat, but I have actually surprised myself with how often I ended up stepping on my mat. Usually I am the sort of person that really needs a routine, I like to have everything pre-planned, so when my schedule becomes hectic or unpredictable because I'm in a new place I struggle to keep up my exercise or my normal diet, literally everything goes out of the window 🙈🙊but in the last few weeks I've been stepping on my mat simply because I've been craving it rather than because it's on my list of things to do.
Play time 😂😂 we attempted to replicate something I saw on @talia_sutra 's Instagram - it's fair to say our ones is not quite like hers 🙈😂 but we had so much fun trying to figure out how to do this - couple problem solving activity! By the way if you are wondering who Talia Sutra is she's my favourite teacher ever, I absolutely love her lessons on Alo Moves, if you haven't tried them yet I highly recommend 💕

Heart openers are something I include in my practice all the time. They are difficult and the progress is slow but for me they feel amazing. Open heart is a happy heart right 🙃😉(check out my stories for a little progress pic)... I've also been getting into a habit of always photographing my both sides and never neglecting my less flexible side. It's so easy to just photograph the more flexible side of your body for obvious reasons, it feels easier and it looks better/more impressive, but the more you photograph only your good side the more you are physically neglecting your other side, which means it will never be able catch up 🤦🏼‍♀️my advice is always always do the same photograph for both, and always do the same pose on each side equally - or better yet give your less flexible side a bit more attention 💁🏼sometimes what we want to do the least is what we should do the most 😜
