Lately I have been talking with my yoga students about bringing more awareness into their lives, more specifically looking deeper at how our knowledge or view of the world shapes how we experience it. I ask them to think of a value or a belief that they have and then begin to question where that belief came from. Was it passed on from another person, if so, what do you think this person is gaining from you believing in that? If you didn't have this influence how would your life look? Did your belief arise from your own personal experience? If so, does this experience evoke hate, fear, love or compassion in your body? . This practice of self inquiry and awareness is one of the greatest tools I've gained from starting my Yoga journey. It's helped me approach myself and others with so much more compassion and understanding. It's helped me forgive not only myself but others around me, and let go of fear and hate. . With the tragedy that happened over in New Zealand, it's made me think that if more people practice self awareness, compassion and love, this world would be a safer place. Instead, because of a lack of understanding and acceptance that people hold different values and beliefs, we experience hate and violence. . Fear is the foundation of anger. Anger turns to hate which translates to violence. If we stopped for just a moment and inquired where this fear is rooted then we can work on moving through it and letting it go. . Let's turn to more love, more compassion, more joy. Not only with others but ourselves also, and let's be the light this world needs right now. . When the camera timer goes off before you’re ready.....😂 Smile anyway! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Isn’t life the same sometimes? Crap happens before you’re ready? 💩 Something happened to me today with my business that the old me would’ve LOST IT over! As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression when something stresses me out or worries me, I LET IT EAT ME ALIVE....consume me!!! 😰 Well today when I got slapped with something that in the past would’ve sent me spiraling - instead I made the conscious decision in that moment to take a deep breath and NOT worry! 😱 IMAGINE THAT!! En un lugar tranquilo y  sin distracciones y de ser posible siempre en un mismo lugar. 2.  Cuándo meditar 🤔? Siempre el mejor  momento del día es aquél en el que podamos estar ausentes de nuestra rutina o de aquello de nos genere tensión alguna. De igual manera es importante evitar horas donde tengamos somnolencia. 3. Como meditar 🤷🏻‍♀️? Sentados en posición flor de loto con la espalda recta, ojos cerrados y los brazos reposados sobre las piernas. 4. Duración de una sesión ⏳? Se recomienda que inicialmente deben ser periodos cortos de 15 minutos ademas de mantener la regularidad de la práctica.
