2018 was a crazy season. 100 wins, Boone’s first season, the emergence of Miggy and Gleyber, the additions of Cutch, Voit, Happ, Britton, and Hech, the brawl against Boston, walkoffs, records broken, more postseason greatness from Judge. but we fell short. But we’ll be back next year, reloaded and ready 😈👊🏼 Thank you to all my followers for constantly showing love and expressing your opinions. @yankeesencore

Here are my 2018 Yankee Free Agent Targets. Manny Machado, Bryce Harper, Clayton Kershaw, Patrick Corbin, and Charlie Morton are all big names who I think the Yanks should target in Free Agency.
First off, lets start with Manny Machado. Machado has been a guy rumored to the Yankees for years now, and is primed to make big money, as he’s just about entering his prime. At age 26, Machado is a 4 time all star. In 2018, Manny slashed .297/.367/.538 while putting up a WRC+ of 140. Its not a secret, he’s a generational talent that will be a hot commodity this offseason. Starting the season with the Orioles, Machado was traded to the Dodgers at the trade deadline, and is now in the World Series.
Then there’s Bryce Harper. All in all, Harper had a relatively down year in 2018. He slashed .249/.393/.496. Nonetheless, Harper is a generational talent that is a perfect fit for the Yankees. With a right handed heavy Yankee lineup and a lot of power, the Yankees can use a left handed 3 hitter like Harper. Oh, and just imagine what he would do at Yankee Stadium.
Next up is Patrick Corbin. Corbin broke out in 2018. The 29 year old southpaw went 11-7 with a career best 3.15 ERA. He also tossed 200 innings this year striking out 246, and 11.1 K/9. In a hitters friendly Chase Field, Corbin allowed just 15 HR’s, so a transition to Yankee Stadium should be pretty smooth. With a bunch of question marks heading into 2019 in the Yankee rotation, Corbin is a guy the Yankees need. A deal will most likely be like 5-6 yrs worth 100-120 mil.
Clayton Kershaw. One of the greatest SP’s we’ve ever seen. Obviously it’s highly unlikely Kershaw becomes a Yankee. Say he opts out, the Yankees have to pounce on this. Kershaw is still only 30 and has a lot left in the tank. In 2018, Kershaw went 9-5 with a 2.73 ERA in 161.1 IP. I’m not gonna get to in to this, just because the odds of this happening are very low.
The last guy is Charlie Morton. Morton really broke out in 2018. The 34 year old right hander went 15-3 with a 3.13 ERA in 167.0 IP. A ground ball pitcher at Yankee Stadium, Morton would immediately boost this rotation. A deal for Morton will most likely be 2-3 years worth 40-60 mil
