Day 6 of #7daysforeverybody
is such a hard one for me. I struggle with negative self talk almost DAILY. All the usual suspects; terrible self esteem, poor body image, feeling as though I’m just not enough...you get the picture. I’ve thought long & hard today about how I’m going to compliment myself. I settled on STRONG. I’m a HELLUVA lot stronger than I give myself credit for. Things were SO HARD for SO LONG. My health, job, finances, marriage & friendships have all been affected. I wanted to hit the “F” it butting so many times but I persevered & am finally coming out on the other side having gained so much. I’ve been humbled, I’ve learned compassion, and I’ve learned just how hella strong I really am! #nevergivingup #imworthit #proudofmyself
was nice enough to send me 8 pints of their amazing ice cream 🍨, and what better way to try them all then with an ice cream party! 🍦 we went to my parents house, since my sister is in town with her husband, we opened them all up & had a taste test. The favorites were: cookies & cream, mint chocolate chip, candy bar crunch, & monkey business. Maybe the reason Brock hardly ate his dinner was because he knew to leave room for ice cream 😜 #eatenlightened

pretzel crusted chicken tenders and they were delicious! My husband and I usually eat chicken 3-4 nights per week, but this was the first time we’ve ventured out of our norm and made something like this. We both agreed it was a fun way to spice up our usual meal, and I know we’ll make them again! I love that it’s not many points too 😋

Snack... produce packed protein shake
Lunch... chicken noodle soup and crackers
Snack.. Chomp turkey stick
Dinner... 3 mini chicken tacos and bean soup
Snack... frozen grapes with jello (so dog gone addicting!!) Since hitting goal and then lifetime my points went from 23-28 giving me the healthy eating zone of 18-33. I guess I have been averaging right around 22-28. Still trying to test the waters a bit with the change. It makes me a little bit nervous but my points have always been a little bit under when focused on the plan because I do incorporate so many of the zero point foods.

Garlic shrimp was delicious over quinoa/brown rice mix. And corn and asparagus are two of my faves!

recipe. I’m just learning to cook but I love to bake and this has been my number one thing to bake since the very beginning of my journey. So here you go 😍
3 SP for the whole loaf! •
26 g Kodiak Cakes (1/4 c)- 2SP
1 egg- 0SP
1 banana (overripe works best)- 0 SP
39 Lily’s Chocolate Chips- 1SP
Cook at 400 for 20 minutes •
If you leave out the Chocolate Chips the whole loaf is only 2 SP. Some people with just put 13 chocolate chips on top which is 0 SP but I prefer mine mixed in and more chips 😁 Unless you are going to eat it right away it’s best to keep the loafs in the refrigerator. The Kodiak Cakes tent to go bad quicker than normal bread when left out. I put mine in the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up when I’m ready to eat it. •

So, there was a lot of delightful food going on today. A sizable snow storm is in the area, so my SO and I made the best of the morning before things got too bad, and ended up going out for breakfast. Went to a cafe and got a delicious brown sugar cardamom latte and a Spanish scramble (eggs, tomatoes, spicy sausage, and onions) with rye toast and hash browns! Counted the whole thing as about 30sp. Dinner was part using up stuff in the cabinet and a stroganoff sauce that was a “happy accident”. Pasta and some Italian seasoned chicken strips made for a great snowed in Saturday night meal. (13sp) Dessert was my specialty 1sp homemade hot chocolate. Made for a super yummy day! 😋 Hope everyone is staying warm! ❄️☃️🌬
