A couple years ago I had torn some cartilage in my hip through running. After my surgery things just went downhill with depression, weight gain, lack of motivation etc. •
Every time I go running I struggle with thoughts “ah remember the days when I could run 10 miles no problem?” Everyday I have to remind myself that sometimes healing and recovery takes longer than others..

So, if you know me, you know the way to my heart is a cup of coffee😂. Seriously, love me some coffee! The best part is, coffee actually has a lot of benefits to the human body! It is a natural stimulant which can help with both cognitive and physical performance (it is a great pre-workout). Coffee also is high in antioxidants which stabilize free radicals in our body which prevents cell damage! Also, coffee is a natural fat burner as it has a thermogenic effect which raises our body's metabolism slightly, helping us burn more calories at rest! Also, coffee just tastes great🤣! Now, even with all these health benefits, don't be downing a pot a day. I personally do a cup or two and I'm good! Black coffee is the way to go.

Woke up at 5:30am today to hit the gym before work for the first time ever. Anyone who know me knows I am not a “wake up early, workout before work” kinda gal. I’m pretty lazy I like my sleep I don’t like being tired at work
But with my new work schedule it’s either go early in the morning and actually have the space and equipment to work out... or go after work and be surrounded by like a million people and have no equipment to work with. The morning one sounded better to me 🤷🏻♀️
I wasn’t super sure if I would even get up when my alarm went off, but i actually didn’t feel too tired. I had a small coffee and I hit the gym AND I HIT A NEW SUMO DEADLIFT PR. With that said, I think my whole perspective has changed. I feel absolutely incredible and energized. I also feel way more confident since I hit that new PR. This was honestly an amazing way to start my day feeling happy and on that workout high
I’m asked a lot how I stay motivated to work out. Well it’s this feeling, this feeling of being able to accomplish absolutely anything as long as I set my mind to it. Whenever I have a crappy day, a good strong gym session ALWAYS lifts my spirits back up again and reminds me of exactly who I am. Some days I doubt myself, I doubt my strength and my ability to stay true to me, but as soon as I work out, it all clears up for me

It’s Wednesday, mid-way through the week, which means you have two options:
1️⃣ You can coast through the rest of the week just waiting for the weekend. Or...
2️⃣ You can make the most of the next 2 days to do something amazing!
We all have different goals and different things we are trying to accomplish, so I can’t tell you what it is that will make this week feel worthwhile.
But I want to give you that little push of motivation to do SOMETHING instead of just going through the motions and doing the bare minimum.
Maybe that means starting a new project, finally scheduling that dentist appointment, or making plans with an old friend.
Maybe it means working on your side hustle, reading an extra chapter of that book, or cleaning out your fridge.
Or maybe it means scheduling an extra workout for the week - or your first workout for the week. Today is just as good as any other day. You never need to wait for Monday to start something worthwhile.
