🙆🏼♀️Ihr kennt sie alle, diese Tage.... Tage die echt zäh sind, man könnte heute sagen 'typisch Montag' 😄 Nö heute war echt nicht mein Tag! Sprichwörtlich 'zumdavonlaufen' Aber egal.... Sowas gibt's und ich nehme die Herausforderung an. Morgen ist ein neuer Tag, neue Wege, neue Ziele, bessere Gedanken, den Willen mich nicht unterkriegen zu lassen.. Ja!... Den hab ich! Besser werden in jeder Hinsicht. Körperlich und geistig!!! 💪🏻Genauso habe ich auch den Willen und den Ehrgeiz an Tagen wie diesen voll Gas zu geben und richtig gut zu trainieren. 💪🏻🎧🔥Und wisst ihr was?!?! Ich fühle mich gleich viel besser, so gut, voller neuer Gedanken, fern ab vom Ballast des Tages. So kann ich nun entspannen und in den kurzen aber äußerst gemütlichen Teil des Tages über zu gehen.

This month is tough but I will prove to be tougher.
Clogged head and 4 inches of snow couldn't stop me from my last Monday bootcamp workout. 5 rounds of jumping rope, power cleans and burpees over the bar. I didn't kick ass in class today but I didn't quit.
Life's struggles may slow me down but they won't make me quit. So go ahead life throw what you got at me I'm too strong to let it stop me.

Since I got the treadmill, I haven’t walked outside even once. It’s just so convenient to throw on shorts and a sports bra and walk in the basement while watching some Outlander on tv. My audiobooks are neglected and I’ve not been prodding my kids to walk with me, and I’ve missed all the pre-spring sunshine-y days. *
So imagine my surprise when Grace said, on a February day when the temperature soared up to 60, “Can we walk over to Pappy’s house?” It’s only about 1/3 mile, but straight up a big steep hill to get there. *
After I picked myself up off the ground, I grabbed them both by the hands and started walking. They walk really slow, but it was still a nice little jaunt of exercise that they did willingly. *
Maybe there’s hope for them yet. *

Sometimes we go on a weekend vacation with the family and enjoy great food, great drinks, and of course great company! Then we get home and get right back to work. That’s how the balance happens. That’s how the success comes. That’s how we still eat the foods we love and not feel guilty about it. Who else just pressed the restart button??? Day 32 just happened!!! 9 more days to complete the program. So excited!
That’s going to be a really nice bruise tomorrow!
Today’s workout included 3 x 8 front squats (115 lbs) and then power cleans and burpees 🤮. Y’all, I promised myself I would get to Rx this year, so I set up for the first round of power cleans at Rx weight of 105 lbs. I was hanging in there, until on my second round, that bar came crashing down on my chest and I was pretty sure it KO’d me. Lord help!
I survived, but between that and the back/hip pain I was having, the next two rounds of workouts were NOT at Rx (85 instead of 95 lbs, and 65 instead of 75 lbs)
So there’s two ways of looking at it: either I should’ve scaled weight from the beginning so that I got more rounds in before dying; OR if I was going to die anyways I should’ve quit being a wuss and thrown the extra 10 lbs on there for Rx weight. Go down swinging, amirite?
