I told you I had a shoot with a model! Haha no, I'm still editing those photos, so here are a couple of better pictures of the poor Barbie doll I cut apart and put back together!
I wasn't quite sure what she was going to be initially, and so the project for put aside (with some wires sticking out of her that were to be octopus tentacles or something, which was one idea I had! 🐙 ) But then I had the idea of growing moss in a doll's head... Creepy, but kind of brilliant, yes?
So I pulled her out and started making clothes for her out of #worblasblackart
which was fiddly, but quite fun. I actually made rough little pattern pieces, and used an old soldering iron to sew (well, melt) the seams together. Makes quite a convincing leather jacket!
I ran out of steam (and time) so she never got any pants... But maybe at some point. I also intended to paint her as though she was an old animatronic from a fun fair or something, with scratched up paint etc, but I might just leave her 'skin' coloured.
Anyway, a fun little project all in all.
