Time are a changing over at DC as 2019’s movie lineup has just lost a little bit of its wonder.
While it looked like everything was going smoothly with Wonder Woman 1984, Warner Bros have only gone and shuffled the sequel back a whole seven months from November 2019 to June 2020.
That doesn’t necessarily mean there are problems with the production but it’s an odd move to make, especially considering the competition the film will now face in a crowded summer schedule which includes Godzilla vs Kong, Maleficent 2, an untitled Pixar film, Top Gun: Maverick, and (oddly) Gal Gadot’s own Red Notice.
took to Instagram to drop the news via a slightly cryptic post: “Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!”. Not sure what that changing landscape is she’s referring to but there have certainly been some frantic shuffling around at both DC and Marvel as both studios attempt to correct course after recent set backs.
What do you guys think? Is June a better fit for WW84? Have DC made the wrong call?
