It happens like this. "One day you meet someone and for some inexplicable reason, you feel more connected to this stranger than anyone else--closer to them than your closest family.
Perhaps this person carries within them an angel--one sent to you for some higher purpose; to teach you an important lesson or to keep you safe during a perilous time.
What you must do is trust in them--even if they come hand in hand with pain or suffering--the reason for their presence will become clear in due time." Though here is a word of warning--you may grow to love this person but remember they are not yours to keep.
Their purpose isn't to save you but to show you how to save yourself.
And once this is fulfilled; the halo lifts and the angel leaves their body as the person exits your life. They will be a stranger to you once more.
We made it to Colorado back in December. I jumped into my job, D flew back to VA Beach to pack the apartment and get one more month working/seeing family and friends. I can't wait for him to be out here. Our life is going to be great here: I can tell! .
Rediscovering Colorado has already been so rewarding. I have always loved it, but now I feel like I'm falling in love all over again. Because, gosh, this is a beautiful part of the world. I was lucky to grow up here and I'm lucky to have the opportunity to grow more here. Stay tuned for so many mountain pictures! I just can't help myself! #westslopebestslope
so many good boys, so little time 🛷🐶 planning a winter getaway this season? consider visiting Mont-Tremblant in Québec. what better way to spend an afternoon than with your own tribe of huskies?! check out my latest blog post for more about this awesome ski village 🇨🇦
My first two days here have not disappointed in the least! Forget Southern hospitality: it cannot hold a candle to Norwegian hospitality!! My dear friends Bård and Karen have welcomed me into their lovely home this week while I work with Lasse Thoresen on my dissertation research. So far I’ve learned that that I am about a foot shorter than all Norwegians on the metro which puts my face at elbow level (must be that Viking DNA here), I had salmon for the first time last night and actually enjoyed it (I have hated seafood my whole life until now!), that shoveled/ salted sidewalks are underrated (that’s for sissy Americans), and that smiles and hugs and pillow forts are an international form of communication even when your friend’s kids can’t understand a word you’re saying! Tomorrow: opera tour, more interviews with the composer, and then seeing an opera at night! ♥️🇳🇴♥️🇳🇴♥️#oslo #norway #scandinavia #winterinnorway #winterwonderland #therealfrozen #yoohoofamily #nationaloperaoslo #musicianlife #fernweh #wanderlust #imnevercominghome #thecoldneverbotheredmeanyway #norge #norwegianbliss
