Cheesin’ 🧀 so hard on this Monday. I absolutely love the feeling a new week brings. It’s an opportunity to set new intentions, goals and make myself proud. Even though I didn’t get my workout in this morning [still trying to kick this cold 🤧], I am excited to share a new recipe I made this weekend - parmesan cheese. 😋 I’ve been craving all sorts of cheeses recently, but my lactose intolerant 🐄 and IBD 💩 tummy would not appreciate me eating all that dairy. 🥛🍝🍕🍦 So behold, this delicious #vegan version of parm cheese. Y’all, it is so good my mouth is already watering. 🤤 dEATs below: ~~ ➕ 3/4 C raw cashews ➕ 3/4 TBSP nutritional yeast ➕ 1/4 TSP garlic powder ➕ Dash of sea salt ~~ Just blend those ingredients in a food processor for ~2 min or until cashews are all broken up and voilà! 🎉 ~~ Stays good in the fridge for several weeks!

I always carried snacks with me and if I needed to eat, you needed to get out of my way. - What I came to understand is that hangry is a very serious condition called reactive hypoglycemia. - Reactive hypoglycemia is when you’ve eaten a meal (or snack) that dramatically spikes insulin. About an hour and a half later there’s an equally dramatic drop in blood sugar. The brain sees this as a threat (to survival because of lack of energy) and responds with a fight or flight response. Eating again seems like an absolute emergency because to the brain it is. - Here’s the important thing to understand. Reactive hypoglycemia causes all different symptoms like shakiness, anxiety, panic, fatigue, dizziness, sweating, and nausea. If this goes on every day over time (insert the Standard American Diet) you’ll can start to believe these REAL symptoms a psychiatric disorder. These last few weeks have been BRUTAL on my #heathylifestyle attempts: vacation + hurricane evacuation + returning home and trying to get back to "normal" after Florence.....it all adds up to unhealthy eating, lack of exercise, and a roller coaster of symptoms and emotions based on that. A big bowl of green goddess for lunch today 🍃💚 Shaved brussel sprouts and pear salad with a homemade Dijon vinaigrette dressing from @wholesomelicious. Even though this recipe calls for raw brussel sprouts, I always sauté them because I think they taste better cooked. It’s also easier on the digestion!
Need a throw-it-together easy weeknight meal? One-pan Sausage and Veggies bake has minimal prep and a quick cooking time while being nutrient dense and delish! And talk about an easy clean up! It is totally on repeat at our house and there might be a really good chance I'll make it two times this week, or maybe three. 😋The best part of this meal is that you can totally switch it up with whatever veggies you like! Make it your own or follow our recipe below: One-pan sausage and veggies: 6 Chicken Sausages or Pork Sausage of choice cut in half length wise 1 red pepper 1 green pepper green beans chopped red onion (or veggies of choice ) Drizzle sausages with olive oil on a baking sheet and bake on 400 degrees for 10 min. Super filling lunch today because I work sooo late😢 bright side to that is I get to have dinner for lunch 😏 This was a leftover experiment gone very, VERY right✅ I sautéed @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi in olive oil, then added left over steak and a splash of beef broth. When that began to simmer I drizzled the pan with balsamic and added fresh rosemary!! Any suggestions on buying zero waste greens ar the market? Seems to me that every vendor bags their greens and refuses to reuse them when asked. Also, why did I choose this bagged chard when I could've gotten bag-free chard at the store? Because I still believe buying local, from a small farmer making a small living off of his/her land is far more important than buying everything from a supermarket so the CEO can buy their third vacation home. Hoje, em setembro, eu estou usando o mesmo vídeo pra fazer o ANTES! 😍 Em abril eu subia a corda com quatro pinças, saindo do chão, e na hora de descer eu sempre perdia a pinça e me atrapalhava, o que tornava a minha descida mais lenta! Eu fiz o rope climb em 17 segundos. Em setembro, eu já consigo subir com apenas três pinças, pulando na corda e na hora de descer não perco a pinça e consigo descer bem mais rápido! Levei 11 segundos! Seis segundos pode parecer pouco, mas em uma competição faz toda diferença! 😼👊🏼 É muito gostoso ver a nossa evolução! Easy peasy quick cheddar biscuits. These biscuits are great for breakfast plain like this and even better when you add some garlic, herbs or seasoning of choice for a savory dinner biscuit. I enjoyed them last weekend with my biscuits and gravy for breakfast and again last night with my dinner.
