Hello guys, does anyone have a bad day?
Each of us having a problems at work every day. You have to do overtime, colleagues are assholes, customers are assholes, the coffee machine is broken again and the boss doesn't want to raise your salary ...
Perhaps you don't know that on the other end of the world are people who work in such a dangerous conditions you can't even imagine.
Every day around 3am, 400 men start to walk down the crater of the Indonesian volcano Ijen to harvest solidified sulfur and carry it back up the steep hill in the bamboo baskets. The weigh of each baskets is approximately 80kg and they work around 10 hours a day, being constantly surrounded by toxic gas from the crater.
I accidentally inhaled some despite the safety mask I am telling you it's not a great feeling when it comes to your eyes and nose. Even now I still feel sick.
But these men do not wear safety mask at all !!! And I am not even speaking about mozols and bloody wounds from heavy cargo.
Can you imagine such a job? By the way they earning 4$ per day - the rich Chinese employer apparently thinks it's enough. But they have no other options if they want to feed their families. Even for the price they are not going to enjoy long happy life with them, as most of this people die at young age.
And despite all this factors, they are still manage to smile to all the tourists coming down to take a pictures of this beautiful toxic place.
So guys, I know that each of us have some problems at work, but maybe next time when you complain, ask yourself again if its really that bad.
Peace and a have nice day! ❤️
