tbh still hardcore celebrating graduation over here 💃 and was craving some Healthy Raw Chocolate “Nice Cream” 🍫🍦this stuff is so easy to make, so much cleaner than any of the other dairy-free ice creams you’d find in a tub at the store, and tastes SO yummy. recipe comin at ya ⬇️⬇️
🍦1 cup water
🍦1 cup almonds
🍦1/2 cup cacao powder
🍦1/4 cup dates
🍦dash or two sea salt
🍦(optional) frozen banana
🍫 instructions: blend ingredients in blender. optional frozen banana will make it creamier, but will definitely result in a noticeable banana taste. pour into bread pan (or other metal dish) and freeze overnight. let thaw, and then try not to eat the whole thing at once... 😍😍
🍫 optional topping: melt almond/peanut butter with coconut oil and drizzle on top. it’ll firm up like that bomb hard shell stuff we all grew up in!

The American diet is HIGHLY ACIDIC, creating the perfect environment for disease to develop. 👎🏻 For years, I ignored this concept and wondered why I always felt so run down. 🤔 In this brief post, I'll explain the dangers of highly acidic foods, and the benefits of eating alkaline foods.👍
Common Acidic Foods🍔 - soda, meats, oranges, wine, fast food, starches, tomatoes, canned foods, processed sugar, oats, dairy, coffee, pickles, fermented foods, fried foods, packaged food, fruit juice, cereals, grains, pasta, eggs, alcohol, hot sauce, ketchup, etc. ⠀
Common Alkaline Foods 🥦- almost all vegetables, kale, cherries, garlic, apples, peaches, watermelon, grapes, avocado, potatoes, rice, nuts, seeds, quinoa, etc.⠀

Play is spending time without a purpose. Spending time in activities in which we lose ourselves - in which time seems to vanish.✨
Research shows play is essential to wellbeing - to creativity, resilience, emotional balance. But when we are busy it is often the first thing many of us sacrifice, me included!
The holidays are a great opportunity for some playtime, but play needs to be a part of the working year too.✨
So how do we make time for play?
1. Make a “play list” - list a handful or activities you happily lose yourself in.
2. Schedule some “playtime” or “play dates” with a partner - block out unstructured time in your calendar for these activities.
3. Keep to your schedule!
I’ll be trying to increase my play quotient this year.
How do you get your playtime in?
Both of these times I was not well, but the look on the face differs when you start consuming right things.
I feel more younger now then my past.
Thanks to the universe to help me choose a path that is turning me into a better person.

“Não quero dar beijo”.
“Que coisa feia, vai dar beijo na sua tia, menino se não vai ficar de castigo”.
Nesse exemplo pode ser beijo ou abraço, o que for. O corpo é da criança! Ela pode dar tchau com a mão, talvez piscar ou mandar um beijo caso não queira contato físico.
Quando você respeita esse pedido, você demonstra para criança que o corpo É DELA e a ajuda a ter essa conscientização sobre conhecer e respeitar seus limites
2: Está num lugar legal passeando e chama a criança para tirar foto. “Não quero tirar foto”
“Vamos tirar só uma foto, filho! Te dou um pirulito, que tal?”
O que a criança está aprendendo? Chantagens! Será que isso é bom? Você pode tentar explicar que vão tirar uma foto e enviar para vovó ou papai, ou revelar e colocar no quarto... mas a vontade precisa partir da criança! Se ela não quer, não há motivos para força-la!
3: Ainda da foto.
“Não quero tirar foto”
“Que menino chato! (Puxa a criança) Vem aqui, da risada se não você vai ver”
A criança começa a chorar.
“Engole o choro! Dá risada para foto”
➡️Titia feliz pois ganhou beijo, foto perfeita como tudo estivesse bem, e depois do flash uma criança confusa e desrespeitada.
Esses são só alguns exemplos. Post com intuito de reflexão. Se você já fez, há tempo de mudar, pedir desculpas e seguir em frente. Vamos olhar pela ótica da criança, e o quanto isso pode refletir no futuro dela? Ter domínio do próprio corpo é um presente para vida! Quando ela é exposta a tais situações ela aprende que “ser boazinha e educada” é permitir ser tocada e que ela não tem limite sobre seu próprio corpo. Ela não tem discernimento para saber se o toque é aceitável ou criminoso. Cuidado com o que a sua criança vem sendo condicionada!
O melhor que podemos fazer na educação é demonstrar RESPEITO pelo limite dos outros, principalmente quando o assunto é toque físico! Isso começa desde já em casa!

Using your breath to explore the places you’re storing tension and stress in your body is an extremely valuable tool.
It’s valuable because we get to see the way that our bodies naturally react to stress. We get to see where we naturally tend to store that stress.
When we understand that and we have awareness of those tendencies we are able to monitor those areas and and clean up the problems long before they rage out of control.
Here’s an analogy. Say I’m camping and I have a small that’s keeping me warm, and there’s a breeze and it’s blowing sparks and embers out of the ring. It’s much easier to build up the ring a bit and pull out the dry grass than it is to put out a raging forest fire.
Don’t say, “just put out the fire”... I’d freeze. Just like your progress would freeze if you removed 100% of the stress from your life.

RELATIONSHIP WITH YOURSELF COMES FIRST:
Your relationship with yourself is arguably the most important relationship in life. One's relationship with oneself is crucial to proper development. It's about healthy self-love. We serve in many roles to ourselves — friend, parent, sibling, child, mentor, and in deeper ways. It's fair to say that one's relationship with oneself is the most intimate relationship a person ever has. You are the only person with direct access to your inner world. 1 Prioritize basic self-care. Sleep, nutrition, activity, rest, recreation, and mental habits are the foundations of sustainable self-care.
2 Be kind to yourself. work toward being kind and gentle, while also being candid and taking responsibility.
3 Seek others who fit your goals. In addition to being around people who treat you well, it's helpful to have relationships with others who also seek a good relationship with themselves.
4 Have a personal crisis plan. Sometimes life deals us a really bad hand. Expect these times may come and be prepared with ways of understanding how we are feeling.
5 Maintain meaningful activity. Work toward having regular activities which provide satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment.
6 Speak differently with yourself. Think about being kind and gentle with yourself, let yourself calm down, and try again.
You can better care for others you love if you take good care of yourself first. You and your health are most important. Live better - feel better - I can help.

“A queen will always turn pain into power.” - unknown
Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down. And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you how I became the queen over my pain.
In North Chicago born and raised, On the court was where I spent most of my days. Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and all shootin some b-ball and v-ball.
When a couple of injuries were up to no good, started making trouble in my game. I got severe pains and I got scared. I thought, “this can’t be good.”
I begged and pleaded with the pain day after day but she packed my body and sent me to the bench. She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my retirement ticket. I put my iPod on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.
But wait I hear the pains won’t go away. Is this true? I don't think so. I'll see as time goes on. I hope they're prepared for this Queen.
Well, the car parked and when I came out, I whistled for a remedy and when it came near, my friends said “yoga” and it has lavender scented towels in savasana. If anything, I could say that this yoga thing was weird, but I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Yoga’.
I pulled up to the studio about 7 or 8, and I yelled to the pain 'Yo homes smell ya later'. I looked at my body, I was finally there, to sit on my throne pain free as the Queen that I am.

Where were you SEVEN years ago?
It’s SCARY how quickly anxiety can take over your thoughts, isn’t it? I found myself riddled with anxiety lately. I stopped working out from an ear infection/ cold and all of a sudden felt the terrible mood shift that comes with that. Anxious thoughts concerning the future filled my brain. I was listening to a podcast where the guest was talking about journaling. I’ve started 12 different journals in my lifetime lol.. But I remembered an old journal from right after high school that I’ve kept tucked away. I found & opened it to start my 13th journaling endeavor but decided to read the old entries (there were only four because.. I never stuck to it haha). I won't bore you with the specifics, but it gave me this great sense of GRATITUDE for how far I’ve come and what I have now. This is the line that really STUCK circa 2011 “ I just really want to travel. Get out there and see the world…. I need to figure out how to make some more money so I can travel… maybe I should start a photography business or something. haha” Ah, my 19 year old self was so eloquent! Now, I didnt start a photography business right away. I spent some years in school, fighting with my internal entrepeneur because artists “can’t make a living” according to so many. But I slowly refined my craft, stuck to my gut , and made big decisions that ultimately led to today- running a successful photography business, traveling the world to serve my clients! Something I literally followed with “haha” in my journal as if it were an absurd thought at the time. It is really special having this personal account of my life from 7 years ago to look back on. The anxiety of the future seems less daunting. Growth can happen so subtly.. I don't think we even realize it, yet give ourselves enough credit! Does anyone else journal and enjoy looking back at old entries? I’m thinking I should stick to it now! Also, where were you 7 years ago ??? I want to hear YOUR stories and how your life has changed!

...healthy & delicious too! 😋I prepped this in literally 10 minutes. I roasted big portobello mushroom, red+yellow bell peppers and california veggie burger in little bit of ghee (all in one big frying pan=less to clean 😉)...layered mushroom, parsley, burger, pepper, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, shredded fresh turmeric and sprouts.. sprinkled each layer with little Himalayan salt, black pepper (must! To activate turmeric), nutritional yeast seasoning to add little cheese flavor and ridiculous amount of B vitamins.

There is good in just about everything and everyone. Try to find it!
This women is almost hard to recognize now. Physically it’s me, apart from the fact I’m nowhere near that toned anymore 😂, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually I am a completely different person.
I no longer place my value on how I look, my worth is now down to what I am giving in life back and how I’m helping others.
I no longer feel like the world is over when I get a bad hair cut because I know know what truly matters in life and that is those that you love.
I no longer neglect my body, instead I value every aspect, making it my temple.
I no longer surround myself with people who do not serve me, I now surround myself with a tribe of beautiful and giving individuals.
I no longer think happiness is a 4 night trip to Las Vegas over Super Bowl weekend, happiness is found in being kind to others and finding a purpose in life bigger than myself.
I no longer care about trivial things, instead I understand that we are here for a short time so make the most of your life whilst you’re here.
I no longer think of myself before others, instead I pride myself on putting others first, having kindness and compassion to those I meet and connect with.
Thank you chronic migraines, for you have made me a much more beautiful person with a more beautiful heart 💕
Sometimes being “unapologetically yourself” can feel questionable- maybe leaving you feeling sorry for something you said or did... but keep in mind: The truth will always set you FREE. You don’t need anyone’s permission to EXPRESS YOURSELF. Worry about YOURSELF. Take care of YOURSELF. Persevere to impress YOURSELF. & don’t ever feel sorry for being UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOURSELF. #highvibelifestyle
