Good Form Body
Thank you so much for being a part of our journey.
Today I spent my Sunday doing all the things that feeds the soul & filled my tank. I moved my body the way I felt love. I had a dance party, curled up warm on the couch, spent quality time with my partner, watched Netflix, baked & just fully embraced what my body was asking for.
No guilt, no expectations, no to-do list & you know what? It felt f*cken amazing! It made me realise that at some point in life, I lost the ability to tune with my body & give it what it needs. I lost my way with what was important, what was priority & I attached my happiness to things that didn’t really matter.
Now I chose to surrender & trust my body to show me what it is it needs & allow it time to rest & restore. At the end of the day, my health both physically & mentally is my number one priority, so if that means more Sundays spent snuggled up indoors, then count me in 🙋🏼♀️

This mornings pre training fuel was watermelon, kiwi🥝, apple🍎and homemade granola topped with @purecocobella
coconut yogurt and @mayversfood
peanut butter 🤤
Simple and delicious 😋
Fuel your body with foods you crave, never force yourself to eat something you don’t want to. Craving a tomato eat a tomato🍅, craving cake eat some cake🍰. The more you honour those cravings the more in tune you will be with your body💃 and it will help you develop a healthier relationship with food🥔 + help prevent binges later on because you are denying yourself of something you want.
My Road to Zero Waste...where do I start 🤔
I have always had a inner hippie in me as you could say. Always the kid who loved being outside with the farm animals, at home sitting in our gum tree cubby house.
But it wasn’t until I became a Mum 👶 that I ventured further into sustainable living. When I became a Mum I instantly wanted to protect my baby from everything, especially toxins from our environment.
This became heightened when my Baby had severe eczema on his legs. This led to hours on hours of researching “toxic free” which of course snowballed to sustainable living and eventually zero waste.
Just like Motherhood, this Zero Waste journey has its ups and downs, but I continue to strive to do my best for my little family and we will get there!

FOOOOOOD!!! The city I am living in is currently in festival mode for an entire month! Whilst it’s absolutely awesome, it also means eating out a fair bit.
I have balanced my meals by either selecting healthy options or by eating smaller portions when I don’t.
Life is fun and exciting and all about balance. Sometimes my food looks deliciously healthy like this and other times it looks deliciously indulgent. Either way, I’m happy with a balance that works for me (body AND mind). #healthyeating #health #wellness #wellbeing #fitnessforlife #alexiaclark

How you be, Dear One?
In your heart of hearts…
In the seed of your soul…
In the space of your breath…
Receive yourself as you are.
Let it all be okay,
right here and now.
You are already enough.
And as you receive
just as you are…
You create space.
that is available
that is you.

Am I actually doing this. Fuck here goes. This isn’t even a post about spot the difference (well it is in a way). The photo on the left was taken at the end of October last year. One week after I had started keto. The second photo taken last week. I not only am a massive believer in the keto diet but it helped me in quite a huge way mentally. I look at this photo on the left and when I took it I was so incredibly happy with my progress - I was stoked! But on the inside I was still unhappy with the way I felt internally. Now if I look at the photo on the right I’m in a completely different frame of mine, yes the photos are slightly different angles and I look different now then I did but now I’m HAPPY. Keto made me happier, calmer, more clearer minded and I will forever advocate the benefits of it. Of course I still have things to improve and work on. But stop and smell the flowers every once in a while. If I can inspire one person to keep going that’s all I need. I was down in the dumps when one day my simple decision to stop eating bread (because I ate toast like cows eat grass) turned into becoming a keto lover, you can too. Don’t just look at the numbers on the scales, consider the internal benefits too! 🤷🏻♀️

Our new Junior School Valley Playground was the perfect setting for a wellbeing lesson this week. Our Year 3 girls soaked up the fresh air while revising and learning more about the Mood Meter and how to recognise and express their feelings. #wellbeing #nature #pymblelc
Part 1 ...... Wellness is about need. In the world of wellness, needs are far greater than wants.
It is said that one of ‘man’s’ greatest challenges is taking the time to wake up to ourselves. To our life, to our truth, to our journey. To know oneself and the very needs that are going to help us to sustain and thrive through out life.
We know what we want but rarely what we need.
Ask any person of their wants and they can rattle off a list as long as their arm. But to ask of what we simply need, is another story. Aside from stating the obvious of air and food and water, very few of us can identify what our body needs, what our mind needs, and rarely what our soul needs are.
Part 2 ..... The issue with this is a key factor in determining wellness. Because true wellness is based on need not want. In response to wellness, we are listening and responding to what we are in need of, and not reacting to what we want.
Being able to identify our needs and respond to them is wellness.
Being able to work past a fickle want and answer a critical need is self love.
Being able to honour our needs is the epitome of well-BEING.
Feeding our needs before our wants is something few of us do.
Why is it so difficult? Why can’t we simply listen to our needs and provide our body with exactly that — all it needs? Why must we feed it (not just food, but with every aspect of nourishment) or gorge ourselves with wants and not our needs?
There’s a few reasons.
Firstly, it comes down to a mindset of entitlement. An ingrained mindset from the experiences that we have had, or from our ego partaking in our thoughts. Wants can be attached to entitlement. It is the mindset telling us we are entitled to live the life we want, regardless of all else. The mindset that says I can have what I want, I am entitled to it, I’ve earned it. I have earned the right to do or eat or have as I please. It is a space of I work hard therefore I can reward myself, with my wants.
All of this may feel true, but it is not coming from a space of self love. If the wants are things that are going to deprive us of wellness, then we are walking a fast pace towards dis-ease. For no amount of wants will ever lead us to wellness, unless the want is a need for wellness. ......
So I’m picking up a bit of a trend... Everyone I speak to tells me they could do with a little bit more self-care in their lives, but it’s something they think they don’t have the time for and is something they “will get around to one day”... Sound familiar?
I am passionate about self-care as we need to look after ourselves so we can be the best we can be in all areas of our lives; including in our work and also caring for our loved ones. Which blows that myth out of the water that self-care is self-indulgent doesn't it!
There are numerous benefits to practicing self-care, and I want to help people to create awareness that self-care is not “another thing to fit into an already busy week” but is instead something that can easily be incorporated into your day. I’m doing this by posting a self-care tip every Monday, starting tomorrow; and I challenge people to incorporate the weekly tip into their week and make it an ongoing part of their self-care.
I can’t wait to share these very simple, but effective ways we can look after ourselves!
Yours in Self-Care
