Just a few more steps to the top... We explored the summit of Mt Balbi for 4+ hours, it's absolutely huge up there with so many incredibly unique landscapes - multiple craters, a crater lake, sulphuric vents, dried lava rivers, steep drop-offs, large expanses - it's like nothing I've seen before.
I don't normally fly in or out of Queenstown because it's more expensive but when I do, it almost seems worth it. The views go from this stunning coastline into the incredible snow capped mountains.
Where have you had the best window seat views?

I'm so happy with how this commission piece turned out, and excited for it to meet its new owner. I had a blast creating it, and would love to do more pieces!
I was talking to my partner after he finished work tonight, and recently the topic of conversation has been constantly drifting toward what sort of a future we - and I - want (as he's aiming to move here by December). I know I'm no longer happy, no longer content with my work life but it isn't until I'm able to just ramble to him that I begin to slowly organise the thoughts within my mind and start creating new images. However, I'm notoriously bad at settling on ideas because of the constant restlessness - which I can only assume originates because of my unhappiness. It wasn't until he said to me, "Then decide on a goal and we'll do our best to find a way to make it happen," that I realised two things; one, that I need to learn how to set myself goals (short, medium and long term), and two, that I'm so incredibly lucky to have so supportive a partner who encourages me to go for whatever I want and get it. Even on the days that I doubt myself (which is more often than I like to admit) he's there to tell me it's going to be okay, and more than okay - it's going to be great. So, here we go;
Short term: by Friday this week, I'll be 100% up to date with my photo editing and have a much better idea of what I want in my future. I'll set aside time to sit and think, and really think. I'm going to begin to set regular goals.
Mid-term: I'm going to finish the year strong, rather than unhappy. My Food as Medicine course will be completed before this time October, and my full website design will be finished too. My health and fitness will be the best it's ever been, and I'll actively be working toward a future I am 100% happy with. By December I'll be distance running with ease at least weekly.
Long term: All I am certain of so far is that I want to work in the quiet. I'm still piecing together the many ideas, but I already know it's nothing conventional 9-5, and it definitely involves freedom and creating - somehow. And Sloane. We're going to have a happy lil family of fur babies.
I do smoke, but I don't go through all this trouble just because I want to make my drug of choice legal. It's about personal freedom. We should have the right to do what we want, if we don't hurt anybody
(In this country omitted intentionally because I feel that's how it should be universally)
