All the baby steps I've taken over the past month and half has brought me to today.. the day I'm ready for big changes and some serious discipline. I posted my first transformation pic (this one👆) in Jan last year - already 52kgs down. Now I'm starting over but this time I'll take you through my whole transformation journey. When you're dieting you are essentially punishing yourself for how you ate before, for being overweight, or for not fitting into your clothes like you want to. . When you are depriving yourself of the foods you really want, the foods your body really desires and needs - either in quality or quantity - you are punishing yourself. . What if instead of focusing so much on restricting and depriving you focus simply on nourishment? . What if you just choose the highly nourishing foods and ate more of those and less of the not-so-nourishing foods? . What if you focused on loving your body, as it is, so damn much that you just want to nourish it and make it feel good?? . Consistency WINS… every time.⠀ . ⠀ The fastest way to make changes in your health that last is by making small, consistent changes. For example, cut sugary drinks from your diet. Instead of drinking 3-4 sugary drinks a day, limit yourself to one every day. Eventually, cut it out entirely.⠀ . ⠀ Instead of going from never having worked out to trying to run a marathon, just make a commitment to walk a mile three times a week EVERY WEEK. Then, actually DO that consistently.⠀ . ⠀ Maybe you never get a good night’s rest. Make quality sleep a priority and set yourself up to be able to get better sleep regularly. This will improve your mood and energy levels, helping make other changes feel obtainable.⠀ . ⠀ Maybe every meal you eat is take away. Commit to eating healthy, whole foods that you prepare at home three times a week and stick to it.⠀ . ⠀ You don’t have to upend your entire life and make massive changes to your diet and routine to see results. So here’s the thing. I know better now. I have learned over time what my body, mind, and spirit need to have in order to do better. I have learned I feel best when I eat well, when I exercise 5-6 times a week, and when I take time daily to fill my spirit with God’s word. But I haven’t been doing those things. And I can tell you, I don’t feel my best. So today I woke up, I was flipping through FB and I found the most amazing person to follow on here and she posted so many “gut punching” things that shook me. So today I start back on the path of what I know works for me. Because I know better. Because I want to feel better. Because I can be better. Changes are inevitable in life and I am learning all the time how important it is that I better prepare myself for these changes by creating the strongest foundation in my faith, my self, and my love. Part 5 of 7 -- CONVENIENCE and VARIETY • This past week I spoke of a lot of great HEALTH benefits my daily shake provides. • If there is one thing you need to remember is that it is NOT a protein shake (even though there is protein in it) and it’s NOT a weight loss shake. However, if you need to lose weight you WILL by drinking this consistently. Why? Because you are feeding your body right—it will absorb the nutrients and make your body happy all the way down to the cellular level. When you give your body what it needs then you won’t crave junk, you will feel better and move more. So you will naturally lose weight. • The important thing to know is you need to be consistent. You can’t drink it every once in a while or when you feel like it. Do you breathe everyday? Does your heart beat every day? Of course. So you need to drink THIS every day. • Depending on how you prepare the shake it can count towards either a meal AND/OR a supplement. For me, I am rushing out the door every morning to work. It’s the mentality that nurses have that we don’t have time to sit and eat. Enter this great shake. I WISH I had this when I worked shift work—it would have been a Godsend then. I use almond milk (because I can’t handle dairy in large doses), bananas, or other fruit, maybe some spinach (you can’t taste it), peanut butter, cinnamon or other spices, extracts, etc to make it a meal. I don’t have time to sit and eat breakfast so this gets me going and keeps me going. On the weekends I have it for lunch because this is a meal I would normally skip. • I have been known to drink this twice on very busy days. I always took it with me to football games on Friday nights because I would no sooner get home from work and need to leave a short time later for the game. Takes me 2 minutes in the blender and BAM! Dinner made. And I am not craving that crappy concession food and come home with raging stomach pain. • I have clients that drink this in the afternoon to keep them away from vending machines. I have had the wedding blues big time! My life revolved around wedding planning and the big day arrived, we went away for a week then its all done and back to reality. I just wish i could do it all again every weekend! So... i found comfort in food and espeicially big bowls of muesli, i feel as though every lb i had lost is back on! A year ago September 2017. I was weighing in at 159.8. Today I weighed in at 156.4. Hoping to tighten things up and add more water (of course - - - one of my top 5 issues to conquer). I have always been the first one to get sick and if by some chance I wasn’t, I would be sick shortly after being around whoever was!👎🏻🤧 in the past year my fiancé and kids have been sick more times than I could count but because of my superfoods shake🌱 that I drink daily I have gotten sick only once!👏🏻 👏🏻 in the past week I have been coughed and sneezed and breathed on by both my kids and STILL I have not gotten sick besides the headache due to lack of sleep! I just had my second cup of coffee at Philz and came across some fitness wumbo on the dark web. . I’m pretty sure all these myths came from Toby. . Regardless, we’re going to debunk a few of them right here, right now. . 1️⃣ Waist trainers do not work. You cannot target fat loss through compression and sweating a lot. You lose weight by eating fewer calories than you expend. . 2️⃣ Sitting in the sauna/steam room will not burn fat. You’ll just lose water weight that you’re inevitably going to gain when you drink water and eat again later in the day. . 3️⃣ Too many carbs don’t make you fat, too many calories do. I could explain the law of thermodynamics to you, but that would be a waste of time and bore the both of us. . 4️⃣ Training abs won’t burn fat around your abs. This isn’t to say direct ab work isn’t important; it is, but your main focus should be nutrition. . 5️⃣ Sports drinks aren’t healthy; they’re not unhealthy either. But they are high in sugar and you can get electrolytes in food that will actually fill you up. . 6️⃣ Your life does not have to revolve around working out and dieting for you to see results. There are endless strategies that all work, so be patient and find what you enjoy and helps you see the best results. . Talk soon :)

It’s 2pm at work and you decide to walk next door for a snack. You’re craving some chips and begin to reach for a bag, but the voice in your head says YOU SHOULD  have a healthy snack instead. You grudgingly put them back, grab a cellophane wrapped apple and return to work. Here's a little secret... When I was 250 lbs and decided to embark on this journey I started intentionally visualizing, every single day, being at my goal weight. . I wouldn't just visualize it, but I'd feel it. I'd feel like I didn't have a belly hanging over my jeans anymore, I felt comfortable in my skin! . I also started acting as if I were already there. So if I had a cookie one day and I wanted to go back and have five more, I'd check in and ask "what would the healthiest most fit version of me do?" she'd stop at one, be quite satisfied with it, and move on with her life. . Or if I was contemplating skipping a workout I'd ask "what would the healthiest most fit version of me do?" She'd do the dang workout even if she didn't feel like it! . Act as if and so it shall be - it works!! ⭐️SETTING MY OWN PACE⭐️ • I have been thinking all day.. About how I would write this week off and start again on Sunday or fall of the grid and start again in a few weeks.. • But I’m not!
