My meals & exercise programs👆🏼Link in my bio. ~ Sometimes I just don't feel motivated to train. I even make up excuses as to why I can't train and always find other "more important" things to do. The things is, when I don't train I feel crap, I have no energy, feel slouchy and not as happy as usual. It's like training is my happy medication.😝 When I get like this I have to remind myself why it was I started training in the first place and how it makes me feel. I remember the feeling I get when I finish a session where I'm exhausted but feel awesome at the same time and have a sense of accomplishment. I'm instantly happier!!😃👍 It's hard to achieve a goal if we don't keep ourselves motivated. Nobody else is going to motivate us every day, it's up to us to do it! If we don't then we'll always be disappointed that we didn't just suck it up and get it done! Also going to up my speed, but veg speed not fruit 💃🏼 so my lunch today was Greggs Oriental chicken and sticky rice (6.5) I didn’t use the sauce so it would be less but I’m still counting the full syn value. I would love to help you. - 🏃🏼‍♂️Typically, when I walk into a gym, I always see too many people doing cardio. I think it’s a cause of them being comfortable and the fact that cardio has been praised for weight loss over the past 20 years. - 😎Believe it or not, there is a time and place to do some cardiovascular activity. In my personal opinion cardio should be less than 15% of your overall gym activity. - When is cardio okay? ✅After a lifting session. A good finisher or a light cardio bout post lift can be beneficial. - ✅The light bout on rest days. This can help a little bit of soreness if you have any. Take it easy though. - When is cardio NOT okay? 🚫Before a lifting session. You want to have as much energy and focus as possible for your large strength lifts. If you are running 2 miles before dropping under a squat rack, don’t expect to hit any PRs. - 🚫Morning after evening lift session. This is one some may contest, but you need to allow your body to recover to get adaptations and be ready for another session. I think you should give yourself at least 12 hours before training again. If you can do closer to 24, even better!
