7 weeks go i gave up smoking! Follow ➡@goodfood2.0 😍 Tag a friend and comment to motivate them 😃 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ➖ 💚MOM’S SLOPPY JOE STUFFED PEPPERS ~ 3 bell peppers, assorted colors 1 pound lean ground turkey 1 (24 ounce) can Sloppy Joe sauce 1 tablespoon canola oil Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste 6 slices thin-sliced colby jack cheese Parsley and green onion, chopped, to top Brown rice, cooked, to serve (optional) Using a paring knife or other small knife, cut around the stems to remove them from the peppers and discard. Cut the peppers in half and cut out any leftover seeds or membrane. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large, heavy bottomed skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of canola oil. Once the oil is hot, add in the ground turkey, breaking it apart as it browns. Once the turkey browns, drain off any excess liquid. Add in enough of the Sloppy Joe sauce to fully coat the ground turkey, reserving a the remainder for topping the rice, if desired. Cook for 2 minutes, and then cover and reduce heat to low. As the turkey cooks, spray a large, oven-safe dish with nonstick cooking spray and place in the peppers, cut side up. Bake for 15 minutes, or until slightly softened. Divide the Sloppy Joe turkey meat evenly among the pepper halves. Bake again for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the remaining Sloppy Joe sauce in the same skillet. All those 5am walks. All the anxiety and the tears.. All those days I didn’t have the motivation to walk anymore or run anymore. When I lost all motivation you still picked me up and guided me through my darkest days. Those nights we cook together and sit on the couch with a coffee and chat.. You have always been so patient with me and even when I’ve slipped up you’ve still been there. You have always taken me under your wing and showed me what I was worth when I couldn’t see it. A COUPLE OF LITERS A DAY KEEPS THE FATIGUE AWAY ✨ Me and my roommate used to start the day together with a glass of hot water with some freshly squeezed lemon in it. We would not drink coffee in the first two hours of waking up. Now, years and years later I still do the same every morning. I start with one or two big glasses of water and during the day I try to drink a total of 3 liters of yummy water. ✦ I know it is not the most sexy thing to worry about and it kinda makes me feel like a nagging mom, but it works you guys! Yes, it did clear my skin and made my concentration stretch for hours more. ✦ I made it a habit by creating an obsession for water bottles - as this one by @dopper_official It’s an easy obsession to have really, with allll the colors Dopper has you NEED to show off your new water bottle really. ✦ The second thing I use to keep this habit going is the app called @mywaterapps . This app makes it simple to track how much liquids I already had and helps me set and get my goals. Thanks to the amazing @victorsharov , drinking enough water was never this easy. ❤️ ↬ While I’m getting another shot of water... What’s your trick to drink enough water?

Should you be counting calories? ⠀⠀ For many people, yes. But for some, absolutely not. ⠀⠀ There are many reasons that people should be tracking, mainly to develop their knowledge in overall nutrition and peel away from yo-yo dieting, fad diets, develop freedom of food, and overall awareness on nutrition. ⠀⠀ However, it can often be forgotten that calorie tracking isn't *the method for everyone*. It's still just a tool. ⠀⠀ For some, it's the worst tool. ⠀⠀ I've seen many instances where people have developed an awful relationship with food and their own bodies which has eventually resulted in an obsessive behaviour. Having their life dictated by the daily game of trying to be perfect in hitting the *exact* calorie and macronutrient numbers. ⠀⠀ This ends up causing stress, anxiety, and huge amounts of disconnects in enjoying their life. Removing themselves to social events, travel, and anything where they do not know what foods will be there. ⠀⠀ Binge > Starve > Restrict > Repeat ⠀⠀ When the relationship is like this it is not a quick fix or plan that is bought. This takes time and a lot of honest conversations. Some may never be 100%–or even close–ever again, and is something people don't want to acknowledge. ⠀⠀ You see, calorie AND macro counting is something that most people rarely need to ever do but yet can be made to believe *is the way* in developing a successful diet. ⠀⠀ Unless I'm sure a client does need to diet this way then they never will. ⠀⠀ It's always worth remembering that dieting for a goal is built up of methods, not THE method. Especially one such as "just track your cals and macros to the T". ⠀⠀ Methods are built up, not just blanketed with no real time frame or plan in place. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
The scales only tell us part of the story when it comes to tracking our weight/fat loss progress... ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Hydration status 💧 Menstrual Cycle 👩 Pre/post toilet 💩😂 Time of day ☀️🌜 Food/fluid intake 🍽 ⬇️⬇️⬇️ All of these factors could interfere with what you're seeing on the scales and can ultimately lead to you feeling disheartened.
