I saw this and was like...how true! 😂 but for real... my struggle has been my thyroid. I have been working out and doing what I did to stay in shape 6 years ago and it just wasn’t working anymore. I thought maybe it was because of my age and I had heard that this happens when you get older. That it would be harder to lose. My struggle happened when I became depressed. A dr put me on Lithium. I never had a pill before for depression and I’m starting off with lithium?! My husband said something to me and researched the drug. I had gained 20 lbs in one month y’all! I stopped taking it the next month. Come to find out it played a huge role in messing up my thyroid. I haven’t been the same. I was misdiagnosed for years until I found a thyroid specialist and she did the 8 blood tests for the thyroid. Not the 2 that was always done and given a false diagnosis from. It has taken me to changing my diet, be put on armour thyroid and exercise with purpose. I’m going to beat this. I’m working hard to be in the best shape I’ve ever been in. So when I saw this pic and how I worked my shoulders and yes I struggled to get off that sports bra, I couldn’t help but share it. Everyone have a productive morning. One of the greatest journeys in life is overcoming insecurity and learning to not give a shit. I still remember what it feels like to leave the house without feeling different, without having to plan ahead. Just being able to jump in the car without having to break my chair down, getting into my jeans without having to move my legs with my hands, or putting shoes on without having to move my toes with my hands. People ask me all the time how do I stay so positive? The answer is that I'm human. I live every day with this chair attached to me. I remember the day I woke up and just thought to myself, "you know what... if this is the way I have to be, for however long, I'm going to freaking rock it and I'm going to be proud of the life I live." I don't think there is ever that moment of "acceptance". I think it's more of a moment of embracing myself. If I can't change who I am or what I look like, I might as well embrace it. Don't get me wrong, I work every week to regain movement in my legs and there's nothing more I want. But I also want to be successful and healthy. I want to face my challenges head on and not let them bring me down. Thank God for God!!! Alhamdulillah This is to apologise for the late deliveries yesterday. Remember I said I was going to give you guys the full gist😂😁 Your darling ABU had an accident on his way for the first set of Deliveries yesterday. On his way riding out just after getting fuel from a filling station, another bike took a wrong way and boom!! a collision of the two bikes occurred. He had some minor injuries and a sprain, but the two guys on the other bike had plenty injuries. We had to look for first aid before sorting out who is or is not at fault. If you know ABU well, you'd know he doesn't take nonsense 🤣🤣🤣, when the guys wanted to act funny, he said, "Ma..don't worry" He called his elder brother who's in the Nigerian Army🤣🤣🤣🤣 The rest they say, is history!! Everyone is fine now. We thank God for life! So the bike spent the rest of the day at repairs. Delivery is back on with full force! Thanks a lot for your patience and the prayers and messages.💚

Ultimamente sta spopolando su instagram questa nuova Dieta della mano. - Non si tratta in realtà di una vera e propria dieta strutturata ma di un sistema di dosaggio delle porzioni in base alla grandezza delle mani. - 👉🏼 A parte la raccomandazione dell'OMS di consumare ogni giorno cinque porzioni di frutta e verdura, non esistono linee guida ufficiali sulle dimensioni delle porzioni che dovremmo assumere. - ➡️ CARBOIDRATI Crudi: La porzione non dovrebbe superare la grandezza di un pugno chiuso. Anche per le patate non bisogna superare la dose di un pugno. - ➡️ CARNE: La porzione non dovrebbe essere più grande del palmo della mano (le dita quindi sono escluse). DISASTER STRUCK ============== Disaster struck this week when Slimming World changed some of their food items from being “free” foods, to making them count as “syns”. . . The much loved Muller Light yoghurts aren’t free anymore. Which means that up until now, you could have as many as you want of them a day. . . And, from the reactions of the followers, the change is a big blow. . . Some dieters had 4-6 (or more) of them a day as a snack. . . Although “free”, which means they can eat as many as they want of it, we can’t forget that these chemical laden yoghurts are 90-100kcal each. . . So having 4-6 (or more) of those a day is like ingesting another extra main meal a day (or more), as well as totally disturbing your digestive system with all the extra chemicals. . . No surprise so many people are struggling to lose weight on Slimming World. . . The only people I know that have succeeded to lose weight and keep it off, are those that haven’t just followed the diet, but also have put in thought about their health, prepped their own meals from scratch, and made wise choices on how to use their “syns” such as using them for nuts, avocado, salad dressing, and the odd cake/chocolate/sweet/glass of wine on a special occasion. . .
