👉🏼The truth is, we ALL struggle. We all want more cookies on occasion than we need. We all have days where laying on the couch and watching Christmas movies sounds better than getting a workout in. We all would rather sleep in. We all have days where motivation is essentially non-existent. .
🔑 But here’s the difference in those who reach their goals and those who don’t—the ones who reach their goals understand the importance of not giving into what SOUNDS or FEELS good at the time. .
You may be saying, “well what about balance that you preach about regularly?”
To that I say: balance looks different for everyone and is dependent on what season of life they are in. It’s a no brainer than if you’re reaching for big, specific goals, there are going to be times you have to pass up the 3 slices of pizza or pass up the 3 cookies. Balance in that scenario would look more like fueling your body on point all day and enjoying ONE cookie or ONE smaller slice of pizza.
When you’re feeling tempted to indulge a little more than you should or skip a workout, ask yourself, “am I sacrificing what I want most for what feels/sounds good NOW?”
