So it's is October 23rd. The official date that studio Trigger slated as Ryuko Matoi’s birthday from the famous scissor cutting anime Kill La Kill. Now, a lot of people that are not into anime or fandoms wonder why do we celebrate fictional character’s birthdays when they don't even exist.
My answer to that is they do exist. Not physically of course, but in our minds and imaginations. These characters came to life in tv shows and books through the minds of there authors/creators. Sometimes they even come to life when real people dress like them/cosplay as them. These characters leave footprints in our hearts as much as video game characters like Sonic, Mario, Spyro, Crash, Link, just to name a few.
Now we also celebrate these birthdays because of the character themselves. As I said before, these characters leave footprints in our hearts. It's like watching your favorite superhero. You remember the character because they had such an impact in your life.
Ryuko is one of my all-time favorite anime characters for multiple reasons including those. If you have been following me since my Wattpad days (props to the people that have) I have been Ryuko for the past 5-6 years. Ryuko Rose to be exact lol. I have been signing on and off with that name, reading you guys comments and making chapters that you guys will love. But sadly, all things have to come to an end.
Soon I will be signing off as Ryuko Rose (or the very ‘original’ Ryuko Matoi) one last time. I won’t be going anywhere! I am just, changing my persona online I guess! Instagram, I am staying with my same account and everything, my account name however will be changed. As far as my Wattpad, that will be determined soon.
This is a very bittersweet note that i want to give to you guys and i don’t want to rush it at all but it is very late where I live so I will definitely continue what I was saying on part 2 of this post.
