If you are like me and have trouble doing everything during the day, I encourage you to get up early. It helps you to accomplish more, yes, but also to nourish your body and soul, which is essential for a busy person. Our lives are dedicated to caring for others. If you do not learn to take care of yourself, you will run out quickly. When you fill your cup first, it's easier to pour love to others. Give yourself permission to focus on you early in the morning and unleash your true potential.
I will give you a basic diagram to make it as simple as possible. You will find below my tips for developing a morning routine that makes you want to get out of bed.
1. START WITH SOMETHING YOU LIKE
The first thing I do when I get up is to go straight to my kitchen and prepare myself a delicious drink containing caffeine.
2. BE STILL
Once my cup of coffee in hand, I listen to the news and I sit on the couch. By giving you a moment of peace before the start of the day, you will change your perspective and start your day on a positive note.
3 // PLANNING, PLANNING, PLANNING
Sit down with your calendar and review your to-do list. Write down what you need to accomplish that day. Try to keep the list as short as possible. You can always add it if you tick all of your list. Knowing what you need to do at the end of the day helps you stay focused and eliminate wasted time.
4. FIT IN FITNESS
Find something you like to do and move your body, be it running, walking, lifting weights, yoga or light stretching. If you have trouble getting in shape all day long, try adding it to your morning routine.
5. Dress for the day
I do not know about you, but I always seem to do more when I get dressed for the day, I feel better when I get out of my pajamas and wear real clothes. It does not have to be something super chic, just something that makes you feel confident. If you are at home with children all day, you must be comfortable.
