Holiday decoration semi-minimalism.
Do you see these ornaments behind me? They are fragile and come with a long history. Mother-of-pearl was handmade with brass and glass was mouth-blown back then. They are probably my favorite ornaments, even though I don’t know details about their history but I know everything about the wood on this easy-to do wall-piece. It is from the Mediterranean and Mount Etna. The bigger piece was sitting in a pile of rubble after a storm one evening by the sea and the smaller pieces were found where the black soil ended and the snow began on the vulcano’s peak. We found it while we were on our first holiday on Sicily with our (then) 5 months old baby. I just love looking at it and be reminded of the privilege that is our journey as a family.
P.S.: got myself some decoration, too. *bling*
I would like to introduce you to my fabulous mum who helped me these past weeks with both my shops @lunatiques and @mitchellroadantiques ✨ I finally know where my passion for furniture and decorating comes from 😉 Mums are simply the best ❤️ #thingsilove
