Jugos Detox 🥒🍋🥕 . Seguramente después de una temporada de excesos lo único que queremos es regresar a “la normalidad” lo mas rápido posible y lo primero que pasa por nuestra mente es “Ya no voy a comer nada, necesito un DETOX” 🤭 . En qué consisten estos jugos? Es un plan de 3, 5 ó 7 días en los que SOLO se toman jugos en las 3 comidas y de snack. Donde ahora la moda son “cold press”, sin fibra y mas cantidad de fruta que de verduras. Aumentando la carga glicémica (el azúcar) en nuestro cuerpo 👎🏻 . Que pasa realmente con los jugos detox? 1. Obviamente bajamos de peso, nuestro cuerpo responde a cualquier cambio a nuestra alimentación y aún más cuando es algo extremista. 2. Al bajar de peso lo que se ha visto es que lo que no disminuye la grasa sino vemos una pérdida de masa corporal (el músculo pesa mas que la grasa) por tener ese déficit de alimento tu cuerpo entra en un modo de supervivencia donde se protege a si mismo. 3. Realmente NO nos desintoxica, nuestro cuerpo es perfecto! 🙌🏻 tenemos un hígado y un riñón que hace esa función. 4. Esos días de jugos nuestra ansiedad aumenta al 💯, si no la “rompiste” durante, al terminar llegamos a ver un rebote, porque tratas de compensar todo lo que no mordiste ni masticaste en esos días. . Entonces si haz hecho o estás pensando en hacer una dieta de jugos detox después de las fechas navideñas o cualquier fin de excesos, no lo hagas! chinese food healthified! this is orange cauliflower and it is super clean no msg, vinegar, corn starch, gluten, or soy in this sauce...don’t need any of that 🙅🏼‍♀️ i added organic lettuce, red bell pepper, and mango to my homemade tortillas 😋 (tortilla recipe in my ebook) here is what i did to make the cauliflower: heat oven to 400, chop 1/2 head cauli into florets, 1/4 cup almond milk and 1/4 cup chickpea flour in separate bowls. dip the florets in the milk, then into the flour, and into the milk again. place them on a baking pan lined with parchment paper bake for 20 mins. then you will make your sauce. sauce: in a small bowl whisk 5 tsp of tapioca starch with 2.5 tbsp water and set aside. in a large bowl add juices 3 oranges squeezed, 2 tbsp coconut aminos, 2 cloves garlic minced, 1 tsp ginger grated, 2 tbsp maple syrup, 1/4 tsp cayenne, 2 tsp sesame seeds. simply whisk together in a bowl. once mixed add ingredients to a sauté pan on medium heat and slowly pour your tapioca starch whisking it all. the sauce will thicken in just a couple of minutes. i poured 1/2 the sauce over my cauli and saved the other half for my husband’s tofu 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ he will also eat it over rice. we’re different and it’s cool 🍃 . . #medicalmedium #vegansofig #healthyfood #chinese #orangecauliflower #chinesecauliflower #cauliflower #tacos #tacotuesday #healing #chronicillness #lymedisease #veggies #vegan #veganfood #ebook #fruit #spicy #wholefoods #plantbased #plantpower #grainfree #glutenfree #dairyfree #delicious #veganrecipes #cleaneating
Festive donuts were on the menu this week at @natureshealthstore with this Holiday Nog donut as well as a Chocolate Peppermint donut! I got the holiday nog and it was SO good! It reminded me a lot of the cinnamon bun donut from a couple weeks ago. It was perfectly sweet and had warming spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. I’m SO going to miss this place when I’m home. It’s definitely the worst part of break lol 😂 I’ll be back soon enough! Maybe I can make some donuts if my own...I do have a donut pan!😏 Any flavor suggestions??👇🏼

🍛 Cauliflower Fried Rice ⏲ Under 45 mins | Serves 4 This cauliflower fried rice is my go-to and I probably make it at least 2-3 times a month. Super easy & so so healthy! And it’s definitely a plus that it makes a lot so I have plenty of leftovers for work 😍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Deets👇🏼 ▫️12 oz Cauliflower Rice (@greengiant ) ▫️8 oz Firm Tofu (any I find at the store) ▫️4 Brown Eggs ▫️1 Colorful Bell Peppers ▫️Frozen Edamame ▫️Frozen Sweet Corn ▫️1/4 Sweet Onion ▫️1/2 Broccoli ▫️Handful of Shredded carrots ▫️Sriracha, to taste (I use a bunch 😅) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Chop bell peppers & onion and cut broccoli florets from stems. Add bell peppers, onion, broccoli, carrots, edamame & corn to pan. Sauté all veggies in olive oil for few minutes (~10 mins) until soft. Set aside in another dish. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Steam cauliflower rice according to package instructions. Pour into pan from earlier & keep on medium heat. Push rice to the sides of the pan, leaving a hole & pour in eggs. Mix eggs into the rice & cook for a few minutes (~5 mins). Set aside in another dish. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wrap tofu in paper towels, press between 2 plates & microwave for 2 mins. Cut into cubes of desired size. In the same pan, heat sesame & olive oil, then add in the cubed tofu. Sprinkle seasonings- cumin, garlic, ginger, chili, salt & pepper. Cook until brown & crispy (~10 mins), flipping as needed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Serve veggies, fried rice, & tofu in bowl. 🥒 Baked Zucchini Bites ⏲ Under 15 mins These yummy & crunchy zucchini bites literally do not taste like vegetables. It’s a great quick little snack & it’s not even unhealthy! 🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What’s on my plate🍴 ▫️2 Zucchinis ▫️Parmesan cheese ▫️Mozzarella cheese ▫️Oregano ▫️Basil ▫️Parsley ▫️Garlic powder ▫️Olive oil ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In a small bowl, mix together Parmesan, mozzarella, oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Slice zucchini in half and brush on olive oil on both sides. Layer tops evenly with cheese mixture. Bake at 350° for 5-7 mins & then broil for 2 mins (until top is brown). 🍠 Southwestern Hash ⏲ Under 30 mins | Serves 2 Breakfast for dinner anyone? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Sometimes it's hard making a fancy breakfast when you have to be at work by 7:30 am! So I decided to make this yummy sweet potato & black bean southwestern hash for dinner tonight 😋 With some Avocado Dressing to celebrate #NationalAvocadoDay 🥑 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Recipe 🔖 Potato Hash: ▫️2 Sweet Potatoes ▫️1/2 Onion ▫️1/2 Green bell pepper ▫️1 Zuchinni ▫️15 oz Refried black beans ▫️Handful of Spinach ▫️2 Eggs ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Avocado Dressing: ▫️1 Avocado ▫️1 clove Garlic ▫️1/2 tbsp Lime juice ▫️3 tbsp Avocado oil ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For the hash, dice vegetables (sweet potatoes, onion, bell pepper, zucchini) & cook in avocado oil for roughly 10 mins. Season with cumin, chili powder, salt & pepper. Add spinach & cook for 5 more mins. For the dressing, blend together garlic, avocado, lime juice , avocado oil, salt & pepper in a food processor. So here’s (a messy) one I whipped up super fast after my workout 💪🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Deets👇🏼 ▫️1/4 cup Frozen cauliflower ▫️1/2 cup Frozen blueberries ▫️1/2 Frozen banana ▫️3 Frozen strawberries ▫️1 5.3 oz container Plain Greek yogurt (@heb ) ▫️1 tbsp Chia seeds (@heb ) ▫️1 scoop Unflavored protein powder (@myproteinus ) ▫️1/2 cup Unsweetened almond milk (@lovemysilk ) Blend all together and top with blueberries & hemp seeds! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cold, thick, and oh so creamy 😍 Much needed!
