☽ WORK COMES FIRST ☾
And no, I'm not talking about the work that pays your rent.
I'm talking about your SOUL'S WORK.
How would your day go if that was the first thing you allowed yourself to tend to?
More inner strength to carry through the day.
Because you'd be tuned into the vibration of excitement and love first thing in the morning.
So what's your soul work?
It's what you feel drawn towards. The thing you desire that excites you. It may not make sense (to anyone else); But it makes sense to you.
It's the the 'high importance, low urgency' stuff. The stuff that will change your life in big ways over time. It's not something someone is telling you to do. It comes from the quietest, most sacred parts of yourself.
Some of you already know what it is - congratulations.
Are you a writer? You could write for 20 minutes each morning. Add a page to your book or do a brainstorm.
Are you a dancer? You don't have to wait for a formal opportunity for someone to *allow* you to do what you do. Stretch, bust those tunes, feel into your body.
If you're like me - a creative all-rounder without a clear target, perhaps due to years of living an inauthentic life of denying your desires, devote the time to what you feel most drawn to now. (Sometimes it's the thing you are most resisting though.) This stuff is crazy, radical, insane to hear. We're taught to hurry. We fear there's not enough time. We prioritize the work that pays our bills; the work that is one day supposed to make us free. We prioritize the worrying, planning, and waiting over actually living now.
What happens to your soul when you never find the time for it?
What happens to your life if you never take charge of your destination? What happens to your heart if you don't follow it's desires? (Emptiness, restlessness, heavy drinking, insatiable boredom). If not today, how will you ever find the time to start?
So tell me, what's your soul work, and how can you devote 9 minutes to it today? 🔮
