We all like a room with a view, but how about a room that’s part of the view? One of the most unique pop-up hotel concepts of 2018 has come from Zero Real Estate: a single room with no walls and no roof, just a queen bed with a pair of nightstands and lamps, and a butler on standby to provide room service and breakfast in bed, of course (he stays in a nearby cabin). Zero Real Estate offers three “rooms” in total in Wildhaus, in the #Toggenburg
region of the Swiss #alps
letting guests stay as close to nature as you can get while still having fresh linen and room service. The project’s an offshoot of Null Stern - ‘zero stars’ in German - which was created by concept artists Frank and Patrik Riklin and their partner Daniel Charbonnier for an initial foray into the pop-up hotel scene with a hotel in a nuclear bunker in the #Swiss
town of Sevelen back in 2008. The latest concept follows their philosophy that “the #star
is not the hotel but each guest”, or perhaps in this case, also the #landscape
. Bookings are closed for 2018 but keep an eye in what they have in store for next year. Would you like to wake up with these views?
