Man, last week was a big week for CRACKERS. Thankfully, we didn't have a market on the weekend and this allowed me to spend the later part of the week cranking out 21kgs of #sourdoughcrackers
; 16 for our two lovely retailers and one special order for our pals @biotayvr.
I thought it was a little out of the ordinary; I thought 21kgs was unusually high for a week's order. And then yesterday, while rolling through 12 kilos, an order for 18kgs came knocking (gulp.) . . .
If we didn't have the #breaddrop
and we didn't have #farmersmarkets
, then I guess, yeah, we'd make crackers. But for now, this one-woman cracker show is trying to slam it out in a commissary kitchen with 20 other companies and only 6 (arguably) functional, gas convection ovens, I can't keep up.
But it's really got me wondering,
WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL WITH THESE CRACKERS!?
What is it, specifically, that you like about them?
Is it just the salt? The cheesy #umami
? Is it cuz they're 'healthy'? Cuz you can buy them in bulk?
I'm curious. What're they doing for you?
