Cycled to Elgin, with enough spare time to nip to
@aldiuk for a ๐ and some pre-run scotch pancakes ๐
Somehow bagged myself a 2minute PB at
@parkrunuk ๐, despite running past every bench in the park thinking 'Don't tempt me Frodo!'๐บ
When I finally got to sit down and contemplate what I fancied from the cafe, I met Graham!

A lovely but bonkers old man who sat down started talking to me about how he used to work on a farm, then went on about Nobel prize winners for vitamin C and how he used to do network marketing for supplements ๐
Asked me what I did for a living because he noticed my 'sturdy legs'

As I said I needed to set of cycling home, he offered a swig of his bottle of Buckfast, claiming the caffeine is helpful๐๐
He even told me a poem he made up and said
"If you ever see a Donkey with no hind legs. You know I'm not far away!" Took me a moment for the penny to drop ๐
Then sat in the cafe with my massive coffeeโ๏ธ, plucking up the courage to set off home in what I knew would be a headwind...๐จ๐จ
๐ณTook the scenic route home, which I NOW know has more than twice as much ascent than the way there ๐ฉ but on the positive, some beautiful views and quiet roads!
Today might not have been a big mountain and wasn't in the middle of nowhere, but it was still an adventure none the less! ๐
