Hey girl, hey! I’m Sam! And I’m a recovering perfectionist working to make healthier living “a whole heck of a lot easier” for the busy mamas of the world.
Why? Well after years of research, all the tears over failed DIY, and hundreds (or thousands, but don’t tell my hubby!) of dollars flushed down the drain on products that didn’t work and “health food” that tasted like cardboard, I decided I couldn’t do it anymore! It wasn’t worth the headache!
But health and wellness education was to me what the ocean is to Moana…it calls me!
So I put on my big girl panties, and started coming up with solutions! I knew if I felt this way, it was likely a lot of other people felt this way too. Is that you?
So I changed gears! And instead of trying to create that picture perfect Insta worthy feed, I started tossing nutritious leftovers into a bowl, and calling it lunch. Or posting silly pictures of myself, because silly is what I do best.
And along the way I’ve learned something really freeing: Living a healthier life doesn’t take a radical shift into the land of peace, love, and smelling like a hippie. It just takes a few small adjustments to what you’re already doing.
Seriously! You don’t have to DIY everything, you can BUY it instead. But you’re probably gonna need a little guidance from a gal pal who has been there, done that, and gotten the t-shirt. So, here I am!

When I first started my fitness journey, I had this idea that EVERYTHING with health & fitness was very black & white.
You see, this industry does a REALLY good job🙄 of setting unrealistic “guidelines” of what you need to do to lose fat and live a healthier lifestyle.
People are constantly preaching..
📢work out 6 days a week!
📢count every calorie you eat!
📢never ever ever eat junk!
📢sugar will make you fat!
📢no days off!
And if you can’t live up to those expectations, well..
❗️you’re not committed enough!
❗️you can’t stick to anything so why bother!
❗️you’re just stuck in your excuses!
❗️you can’t workout everyday so you might as well not do it all!
❗️you keep eating pizza so good luck losing weight!
But I want to show you a DIFFERENT take on health & fitness..
One where you don’t have to live in the gym or restrict any foods and can actually reach your goals and LIVE your life will doing so..
It’s looks a little like..
💜 exercising a few times per week
💜 prioritizing whole foods to feel good
💜 enjoying your favorite foods in moderation, guilt free
💜 prioritizing rest and taking time for yourself
💜 enjoying meals out & vacations without worrying you’re off track
And that my friend, is called ✨living in the grey✨
It’s exactly how I live and how I teach my clients to live because it actually allows you to make a lifestyle change YOU thoroughly enjoy.
And when you ENJOY what you’re doing, fat loss becomes easy and the results last for LIFE.

Are feeling lousy post-Purim😣 & having 'detox' thoughts?
➡️ PSA: if you have a liver and kidneys, they do a good job of detoxing your body for you! You don't need to needlessly suffer by cutting out 80% of what you eat!
🔸️What if this year, instead of committing to another diet (that doesn't work) or a detox that will make your mind preoccupied with food (not to mention an intense drive to eat, a normal response to restriction) - you chose to practice cutting out the toxic diet culture messages?
🔸️What if instead of cutting out carbs, you cut out the Instagram accounts that post before and after photos?
🔸️What if instead of drinking juice for a day you spent it listening to what your body is telling you and practicing to give it what it needs?
🔸️What if instead of committing to never eating sugar again you committed to never speaking meanly to yourself again?
🔸️What if instead of all the shame and guilt you direct at your body you replaced with kindness and compassion?
What we really need to do to get healthy is to cut out diet culture messages from our life - the one that feeds on our insecurities and harps that being of a certain body size (aka getting smaller) is not only a personal responsibility but a testament to how much you care about your health - what if you would call out this BS instead of feeding into it?
If you are feeling lousy after Purim because you ate too much - then your body is doing a fine job of letting you know it doesn't want to repeat that eating experience any time soon. So use this opportunity to focus on what you can eat and enjoy to FEEL good! A detox won't teach you this, a detox just puts a band-aid on a festering wound. Get the detox out of the way so you can HEAL and practice listening to your body and treating it well ❤

Past few weeks I haven’t been eating that clean... pizza is so good after all... but I don’t feel as good as when I eat clean.
