I haven’t gotten this many DM’s requesting a breakdown of a look in ages. I’m so glad you liked it!
On the beautiful #GemmaArterton
, I used:
‘Renew’ line Hydrating Mist + a few drops of their oil • once that penetrated, i very lightly used the serum foundation T1 mixed with some T2 from #iliabeauty
• on her lids I used #cropnatural
gray shimmer liquid shadow. I applied a few layers until it was pretty opaque and then used the same brush to lightly sweep it through her lower lashes (zoom in to see what I mean)
• because I’m often scared to risk using a non-waterproof liquid eyeliner for red carpet makeup, (waterproof technology isn’t yet developed in the world of green beauty), I used the black liquid liner from #katvondee
to darken her lash line and ended it with a little upturned flick.
•I curled the heck out of her lashes using my usual technique (which I show in lots of my YouTube videos), and added strip lash that I’d cut into 1/3 the length, and finished with a few swipes of mascara on top and bottom lashes from #iliabeauty
. • As I’ve said many times, I have difficulty with the length of wear aspect and the intensity of coverage with clean beauty concealers, so for red carpet, I often reach for a mainstream brand that offers more coverage that won’t slip or crease, which I pressed under her eyes. • through her brows I ran the smallest amount of color from #ecobrow
in ‘Liz’ w/ a thin angled brush and then brushed them in place with the darkest shade of brow gel from #juicebeauty
. • on her cheeks I used a touch of ‘Chontrachroma’ blush from #kosas
and blended it in really well, and topped it with a sheer layer of shimmery ‘Celestial’ highlighter from #aunaturale
(I put a tiny bit on her Cupid’s bow, too)
• Finally, on her lips, I used a lip liner from a non-green beauty brand because again, lip liners without stay-put ingredients don’t provide me with enough security in knowing lipstick wont bleed or smudge on the red carpet, and when the lipstick shade is more intense than a nude, and I won’t be with my client to touch her up, I can’t risk it. • I finished the lip with one of my favorite lipsticks from @bitebeauty
: ‘Sorbet’ 😘
