This weeks #ThrowBackThursday
comes from the recent #pantoseasonwhere
Andy Webb used a #truckload
of LED @robelighting
fixtures on his latest show, #BeautyandtheBeast
at the @grandtheatrebpl
in Blackpool! Directed by Damian Sandys and produced by UK Productions Ltd.
Andy has lit the panto at The Grand for the past 4 years now but every year has to be bigger and better than the last so this time he decided to go all out and used 81x Robe fixtures that were all LED, quite the break in tradition from established theatrical lighting.
Using the Robe fixtures was a simple choice for Andy as he has been one half of the #RobeDesignDreamTeam
on the recent Robe global trade shows at Plasa Shows, LDI Conference and Tradeshow & Prolight + Sound and has great experience with using them. "I’ve spec’d and worked with Robe on numerous shows and I know the products really well. There is a great choice of fixtures, their LED light sources are of an excellent quality and overall the kit is super reliable”. With the many differences in set-design and moods associated with panto's, Andy needed a wide variety of fixtures of the job and used the following for his show, it's a big list!
All intelligent fixtures were supplied by the Cambridge based outfit CEG Hire & Productions who Robe Around The UK has a great relationship with and Andy was very thankful for their help for this set of shows!
Also a shout-out to Avolites for the control side as Andy used a #AvoTigerTouch2
console to run the 312 cues for the shows so thanks to them as well.
Nice work Andy, we can't wait to see what you design next!
