The hardest part of bodybuilding for me is to find ways to enjoy food without overindulging during the offseason. The best way for me to do this is to schedule a time limit for cheating on my usual healthy eating and to do it reasonably. Red meat once per week is hardly a cheat, but add dessert and appetizers to it and I gain body fat quickly. #TransformationTuesday It’s been a minute since I introduced myself, my story, my reason! I ddnt feel like an obese person. I settled into the fact that I was a bigger woman, but was on a life long journey of quick #Weightloss solutions to lose "a little bit" of weight. Until my son was born in 2015 and I had a part of me to be an example for and to live for.... He was my first defining moment... I had him 3.10.15 and he changed my life... I all of a sudden had a reason to live other than myself and my own personal needs and wants. I felt an overwhelming need to do all I can to sustain my life to ensure I RAISE HIM and continue to guide him in his adulthood and experience his greatness. Yet, I still continued old consistent inconsistant unhealthy habits. My redefining moment was when my mom passed in 2016, after 17 years of dialysis due to high blood pressure, reaffirming I NEEDED TO CHANGE... before my years of bad choices caught up with me. She was sick for years because of consistant unhealthy choices... not making choices that could've healed her and save her life. I made up my mind I needed a change... I wanted to save me before I needed saving medically. It still takes effort to break addictions and bad unhealthy habits... it's honeslty is still a struggle... Since 11.28.16 I have consciously been working towards a healthy n fit me... Ive never gone back to the me I was then, but I have had moments that lead to days n weeks that Ive fallen off on this journey. The difference from many years before, I picked myself up and got back at it. I truly want to see the outcome if I don’t give up! What’s also different this the fact that I have a great support system... a fit family at my gym #HXFitness that offers more than just fitness. It gave me what I needed to KEEP GOING EVERY TIME! I also have a different mindset and completely different goals! Im so grateful to my body for sustaining me and giving me a chance to right me wrongly disrespecting and abusing it. ❀ The road to fitness is the longest and most self awakening experience ever, but it is worth it and it is priceless. Ive gained a new mindset, great relationships, fitness facility, self love so more.

#motivationalmonday Because of @daveramsey I started winning when it came to my financial status. I once thought I was living it up by having new cars. I bought 3 cars in less than 4 years. I once thought I was living it up because I had jewelry. I have a movado watch that cost over a grand sitting in my closet. I never wear it because I feel disgusted by it. I told my wife if we ever need a dollar to sell that shit. I share this to say that I was broken and in major debt all while looking like I have money. Trying to keep up with what’s new and with what others are doing will leave you broke and in debt. Most of us use flashy things to fill a void. We buy new cars and other material things and then end up in debt because we want to fit in with other broke people. It’s the broke impressing the broke. That’s living backwards. When I see people brag about their new cars I just shake my head and see a big old DEBT written on their foreheads. It’s not impressive. What’s impressive is being debt free. I no longer live backwards. I no longer impress broke people. I wear 10 dollar pants from Walmart and wear 50 dollar nikes till they are worn out. I wear lava rock bracelets with essential oils and my wedding band is tungsten. I’m no longer broke and I’m out of debt. I’m fucking debt free and I’m happier than ever! 7 weeks out for texas state npc nov 3rd. Heavy upper chest,shoulders,bicep day πŸ”₯ looking pretty vascular considering im not fully shredded as well as low carbs. 6 weeks left before peak week! Already going low carbs less then 50g a day and only around workouts and added fasted cardio as well as post workout steady state cardio for 40 mins 5 to 6 days and refeed for 400g of carbs on the 7th day and repeat up until peak week so ill be able to get lean enough for the competition! Took a week off to recover from 6 days in Vegas (ended up not working out for 12 days total). I also needed some time to think and readjust back to reality πŸ˜”πŸ’” (living 6000 miles apart from my πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸ’•) after being together for a week. But today, I can say I feel ready to take on the last 15 weeks of the year. I have my goal ready: to grow the booty, and still keep working for those abs. Whatever happens first (bc I know it will be very tough to get both at the same time, but not impossible). The countdown begins again, 100 days here we go. 2018 the last stretch :D I kinda regret that I don’t take pictures like I used to for β€œbefore and after” collages, but this shall become my before in 3 months. #FYOR Day 260 | Hey everyone I know I've been silent lately. Just lots of internal head stuff going on. I needed time to just refocus an get back on track of a solid workout routine and more. Happy to announce I'm kicking off week 3 of this 8-week long new routine I'm doing and I'm loving it so far. For a while there I completely forgot why I was pushing myself so hard.
