5 years ago, I would never have taken a photo of myself, let alone a picture of me in a bikini. •
I never felt confident, happy or comfortable on the inside. That, of course, manifested externally.
Through fitness I gained the insight that how I felt about myself inside ALWAYS shows on the outside.
I held extra weight because I ascribed to limiting beliefs about myself and my potential. I literally weighed myself down with emotional baggage. •
Maintaining a healthy body weight makes me feel FREE!
Building muscle makes me feel STRONG!
Being in control of my diet makes me feel POWERFUL!
Fitness has set my life on FIRE! 🔥 (in the best way)

Early 2017 to early 2019.
The biggest limiting factor in the early stages of my “lifting career” was my desire to stay lean. Due to this I wouldn’t maintain a surplus nor would I minimize expenditure.
I was training as hard as I could, but this paired with playing football, not eating enough and walking everywhere meant that I was hardly in a surplus. I thought I would still grow aaaand I didn’t. If you want to see true improvements in your physique you HAVE to push your body weight up, and in the process gain some fat.
It might be uncomfortable. For me, I don’t mind the look it gives my body it’s more so the chubby cheeks that come with it. But the sooner you realise no one cares the sooner you can make some serious progress.
A slight add on, I log booked for the second half of this “transformation”. It seems that a lot of people and knocking log books. Are they necessary? No. But can they be useful? Absolutely. It’s a tool that you CAN utilize if you so choose to. But don’t think that you should/shouldn’t use them because X, Y and Z do/don’t.
A great morning with the boys today getting in those fitness gains. I had a great 16 mile long run workout being towed around the trail by Louis at half marathon pace, while Brendan and Ryan crushed their long runs. On to the next !

This is one of my favorite lower calorie recipes 😩😍 Noodled Butternut Squash with eggs. I was craving this the other day for some reason, and the flavor combo is 👌🏽 I know it seems weird, but you need to try this!! It’s amazing 😍
- 100g Butternut squash (pre-noodled or can spiral own) -162.5g Marinara sauce/Tomato sauce (I used Rao’s Homemade)
-3 xl cage free eggs
-(OPTIONAL) shredded mozzarella cheese
(P.S: this kept me full until hours after my workout!!) I made one recipe with cheese before I went dairy-free. These macros are for 3 eggs and the non-dairy recipe

My version of Shrimp Veggie Spring Rolls!!
Recipe (for one spring roll) 🥑🥬:
-1 spring roll skin(I used “Tasty Joy” skin)
-1oz of cooked shrimp (about 2)
-0.3 oz any type of Lettuce
-19g of Avocado -10g of baby carrots
I quickly dip the rice wrap into warm water and lay it flat onto a non-stick surface (I just use my cutting board). I layer the ingredients (chopped to desired size) into the center of the wrap and once the wrap softens, I roll it vertically and tuck the sides in. Make sure to cut off excess skin as it might become hard after set. These turned out a m a z i n g. You can add other veggies such as cucumber, green beans, bean sprouts, etc...
