imperfections: MANY of you ask me or assume that i don’t have “extra” or lose skin but i’m here to tell you that is NOT true at all!!! when you lose a significant amount of weight, you WILL have lose skin. when i started my weight loss journey, my goal was to be “small”, “skinny”, fit into the size 2 pants (which no that will never happen)
but, the things no one mentions with weight loss is the skin or at least no one told me, of course i’m insecure about it, BUT i would choose to have loose skin over diabetes any day!!! the loose skin shows the amount of hard work and dedication i’ve put in the past 3.5 years so if someone has an opinion or problem about it, brush it off, and show it off with pride!!!! you did that girl, you put in the work 💪🏼❤️

Samah has been training at Thrive for nearly 1 year, and she has been crushing her fitness goals. When she started training, she was 9 months out of surgeries from torn cartilages in her left and right hip. She had extreme muscle stiffness in her glutes, hamstrings, hip flexors, etc, to the point where she couldn’t even perform a body weight squat. Alexus did a phenomenal job working with Samah on assisted stretching and mobility work, in conjunction with a very safe and progressive strength training approach. Well, now she’s doing way more than squats! She is a certified yoga instructor now, she can perform all functional movements and activities inside and outside of the gym, and she even boxes and does kickboxing with me once per week! 👊🏽 She has built lean muscle all around, dropped a few percent on her body fat measurement, and she is continually progressing every week.
