🇩🇪 @julias_isiblog hat heute die Frage nach den Ausbildungszielen aufgeworfen. Da kann ich mich leider nicht so kurz fassen, dass es als Kommentar passt 🤣. Also mein Ziel ist ein leichtrittiges, trittsicheres Pferd, das mit mir überall hin geht, wo ich es hinschicke, sich in Gruppen in jeder Lebenslage gut kontrollieren lässt und sich problemlos einhändig dirigieren lässt. Ausserdem muss es in der Lage sein, mich und bis zu ca. 15 kg Gepäck unbeschadet auch längere Zeit durch die Gegend zu tragen. Es soll ja schließlich gesund alt werden. 😉 Im Fall Joa kommt noch dazu, dass ich natürlich auch klar getrennte Gänge haben möchte, um die Bequemlichkeit ihrer Marcha Batida auch genießen zu können. (Ist bei ihr einfach zu merken: wenn sie unbequem wird macht sie Gangsalat und/oder läuft nicht mehr über den Rücken. 😜) 🇬🇧 @julias_isiblog asked today about our training goals. It should be controllable in groups in every situation an should be easy to ride onehanded. Last nights practice and today’s run in 16-20 degree windy weather. Staying warm in my #dublingaelicfootball beanie💕 Holding myself responsible for this training has become very important to me. Since I’ve started this journey, I’ve been so excited/pushed/determined to see it through to the end and beyond. I’ve seen a huge improvement in my strength as well as my stamina, even if I’m still working through controlling me heart rate. For some of you, you might get annoyed with seeing my bright red posts on your feed, but in reality I post these updates for myself - to continue to hold myself accountable and log my activity. I also hope that this inspires some of you to engage in more physical activity OR as a dancer, take your training to the next level. I couldn’t do it without the #RNHAcademy and for that I am so incredibly grateful. I wish I had this when I was younger and still competing, but better late than never. Thank you @laurenearly_rnh for bringing this to the Irish dance world. One of my favorite things about working camps is meeting people that I would never meet outside of cycling. Cycling breaks down barriers and opens doors for people of all #sizes and all walks of life to connect! AND to be inspired!! Here I am #juxtaposed with Richard. Talk about opposites!!! Ha. BUT cycling has played a big part in both of our lives. Prior to cycling, he was a 40 year smoker and 70lbs heavier. His new grand baby inspired him to want to be healthier and be a better version of him.  He has made great progress and is still on his continuum trending forward. Last week Richard knocked out more than 200 miles and inspired all of us. He is not done yet. His big goal is #DirtyKanza . That would be a one day 200 (yes, two hundred) mile gravel race. I say hard is not impossible.  Richard embodies that idea. He simply started where he was. It hasn't been easy for him to get to where he is now, but he has not quit and every day he is one step further from what he was and closer to where he wants to be. BTW There is nobody too big, too small, too young, or too old to ride bikes! Proof in the picture!! ❄️🏃🏽‍♀️Crispy cold winter run 🏃🏽‍♀️❄️ It’s only really cold 🥶 if you’re standing still ... allerdings nicht nur ... heute bin ich aus Versehen auch ohne Handschuhe 🧤 los 😬 was zum Glück aber nicht ganz so schlimm war wie ich dachte, und als ich es dann gemerkt habe, hatte ich auch keine Lust mehr zurückzulaufen 😂 Die Kälte hat aber auch meinen Kopf nach einem anstrengenden Arbeitstag schön frei gemacht und so sind es dann doch entspannte 9,2km geworden 😊 Der Schlosskanal ist übrigens auf der anderen Seite heute fürs Schlittschuhlaufen ⛸ und Eisstockschiessen 🥌 freigegeben worden - immer wieder ein tolles Erlebnis. Emélyítettem eddigi ismereteimet a gerincről, annak anatómiájáról, patológiájáról. Valamint természetesen új ismereteket szereztem a tartáselemzés, tartásjavítás, tartás- és gyakorlat korrekciók, sportolásinditás témakörökben és még egy kis kóstolót is kaphattam a stott-pilates módszereiből. Nem! Most sem lettem gyógytornász, vagy rehabilitációs szakember 😜 Viszont gerincbarát-edzői ismereteim elmélyültek, gyarapodtak és új perspektíva tárult elém, amely minden sportolóm hasznára fog válni a későbbiekben. I, like lots of people I see, have a habit of using momentum in their barbell curls. I like to out my back to the wall when doing them, to force myself not to do this. Let's talk training. 😬😱😢 . . Do you know why elite riders are so consistent when it comes to training? Why most people give up when we feel the knocks and aches or just because we dont feel like training - but Elite riders carry on? It's partly because they get paid to do it. But that's only a small factor. . . The answer is simple! They prep their body to get used to a punishing programme by tricking their mind into thinking it's going to be fun. When an elite athlete is trying to get into shape, they take it easy for the first couple of weeks. Dont get me wrong. They ride a lot but they take it easy. So by the time they reach week 3 or 4 and start to increase the intensity, their mind is ready. Moreover, the body is now adapted and ready to handle the increased intensity and will respond better and recover faster. . . Most people get this process wrong and go into the first week of training hard. As a result, their body breaks down because it is not prepared for that level of intensity. Their mind also breaks down because it has not yet become accustomed to the routine of training regularly. At this early point their mind and body only knows pain and suffering so it doesn't take much for it to quit. Teach it to experience happiness and joy first. . . Take your time. Fitness cannot be achieved in a week. It can only be reached through months of hard work and dedication.
