Getting ready for Halloween. We recently made these spiderwebs, I wonder what we should make next? 🕷🎃👻
Fun Halloween toddler craft today! Joining in with the #myboredtoddler
challenge. Crepe paper, ripped and scrunched, great fine motor practice. Then glued down. I cut the jack-o'-lantern face pieces to glue on top. Fun #halloween
All the imagination, creativity and thought that he puts in to produce his artistic masterpiece.
Another fun #halloween
🎃 craft idea brought to you by my preschool.👍🦇🦇🦇
Don’t you just love how as a parent, it doesn’t matter what the end result of the project is, you always think when your child makes something it’s the cutest thing in the world?! ⠀
That’s the awesome thing about God. Even when we feel like our life isn’t the “prettiest” or we feel like we’re not doing enough, He’s right there cheering us on.
My girlie loves anything art or craft related so when I found these crates from @kiwico_inc
I knew she would love them. This was our first box and if you know Alicyn, you know she loves rainbows! Each kit comes with 3 craft projects and this rainbow pillow was a total win! 🙌🏼
of some sensory bin fun I put together for the kids on Monday! •
I’ve always loved sensory bins for my littles because they combine so many great skills: color, texture, counting, sorting, and sometimes even smell if I add essential oils or extracts to the rice when I dye it! It’s a great way to let the kids dig and be “messy” without actually destroying the house LOL. We do these outside or in the porch with a drop/table cloth underneath to minimize spilling. •
This Halloween sensory bin had all sorts of festive goodies in there that both boys loved from cauldron sorting cups to spider rings, monster googly 👀 and Halloween themed Poms Poms! 💚🧡💜🖤 J especially loved using a funnel to sort the rice 😁. Do your littles love sensory bins??!

Today we had a pretty busy day. We took the boys to a jumping center near our home and then went to go visit their great grandmother. So for tonight's quiet activity we did a simple color match with the name of each color written on top of the paper. This activity was inspired by @busytoddler
If you are not following susie I'd suggest you all go follow her. She is full of great ideas. She even has her own preschool curriculum #playingpreschool
Go check her out 📚💙
I came across these super cute fall time 🍂 crafts kits at Michaels. 🙌 There were so many options for kiddos of all ages! ✂️ The prices ranged from $3-$8, such a great price too. 🎉 I grabbed a few kits in preparation for Thanksgiving - great for small family gifts and keeping kiddos busy! 🧡 And you know this mama loves all things kids’ crafts! 🙋♀️

Do you ever have moments in your everyday life that make you just stop and realize how blessed you truly are?
Not too long ago, I got up every single morning at 6:30am (just kidding I used to hit the snooze button like 4 times because I wasn’t ready to face the day, and also because l am far from a morning person..) I would throw myself together rushed because as usual I was late. And then I would have to force my precious sleeping child from his warm bed to get him in the car. The drive there wasn’t bad because usually I was too focused on the fact that I was so late. 😂
But man once I got to the daycare, and had to pry my sweet sleepy eyed child from his death grip on me, hand him over, and walk away as he cried for me... 😭 My work was only 5 minutes from the daycare, and I bawled my eyes out for those 5 minutes. Every. Single. Day.
So yesterday as we went on our normal walk together, and as we collected leaves and I watched the amazement in his eyes, and as I got to watch his concentration (aka major OCD😂) during craft time, and his pride for what he created.. I couldn’t help but have a full circle moment. Because NOW I get to be here. For all the adventures, all the crafts, all the cuddles. All because I had the courage to know when we had had enough. (And because my husband is a powerhouse and believed in me💕) But that small act of courage, led me to so much more than I could have imagined. 💗
It’s so easy to get caught up in to do lists, or to focus on the things that stress us out, and our problems. But wow I really encourage you to take time everyday to focus on your blessings 💓 And to be so present in those beautiful moments, I for one never want to take them for granted.
🕷OOBLECK SPIDER RESCUE 🕷
Have you tried oobleck with your little one yet? (What is oobleck you’re asking? It’s a cornstarch and water mixture that creates this goopy not quite solid not quite liquid substance). When you add plastic spiders and eyeballs it becomes a goopy trap for spiders and other creepy Halloween things! I gave her a few fine motor tools and some bowls for sorting and it created a fun and messy rescue mission. Check out my stories for more shots and details are on the blog!!
One of our favorite Halloween crafts is falling apart skeletons. It’s a must craft every year! They are always SO different yet hilariously adorable #skeleton #toddlercrafts #getmessy
Monster Mash Up:🧛♂️🧟♀️😈👾👻🧛♂️🧟♀️😈👾👻
Monster candle holders! A fun addition to our decorations this year! My son was able to help with the majority of the project until the hot glue gun came out for the ribbon and adding the eyes.
Monster Mash Up: 🧛♂️🧟♀️😈👾👻🧛♂️🧟♀️😈👾👻
Mummy time!! Such a fun and easy project. Everyone has toilet paper and a paper towel roll!
Monster Mash Up: 🧛♂️🧟♀️😈👾👻🧛♂️🧟♀️😈👾👻 Did you guess right?
Frankenstein made an appearance! Special thanks to daddy who drew him! My son loved adding all his nuts and bolts!
I dyed bowtie pasta black and dyed rice orange to make my Halloween Black Bat sensory bin! 🦇🦇🦇 My classroom is getting spooky y'all... 🎃
