By making small changes to your lifestyle, you’re more likely to stick with them than doing a total 180. To get yourself off on the right foot and keep you moving forward , make these small changes to get big results.
1. Don’t Rely on Exercise Alone :
Exercise is not the only thing you should do to lose weight,It has to be in combination with diet.
2. Eat Mindfully:
What is mindful eating? By focusing on what you’re eating and why (are you really hungry or just bored?), you’ll be able to make better choices and you may even find yourself eating less.
So the next time you sit down for a meal, put away your phone, turn off the TV, and really savor what you’re eating by taking small bites and chewing slowly.
3. Get More Sleep:
Sleep can help you feel less hungry, reduce stress, and give you energy to crush it during a workout.
4. Take a Walk:
Not ready to work out yet? Then start slow .
Start by just walking more. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk out of the house, put on your headphones, and walk for 15 minutes, then turn around and walk back home. That’s 30 minutes.
5. Skip the Soda… Even the Diet Stuff:
Drink unsweetened iced or hot tea instead of soda next time, or toss a handful of your favorite fruit and herbs in a glass of water for a naturally sweetened drink.
6. Eat Better Carbs:
Replace refined carbs with whole-grain versions: Whole grains have more protein and fiber so your body takes longer to digest them; you’ll get fuller faster — and for longer.
7. Add More Color to Your Plate:
Your plate should be as colorful as possible. Color means healthy fruits and veggies.
Nutritious, balanced meals will fill you up and give you energy for all those walks and exercises you’ll be doing.

We’ve had this Lily Gold car seat/stroller for 6 years thanks to the advice of my siblings.
Every time we travel, without fail, someone comments on this car seat stroller. It’s been a travel essential for us. It’s FAA approved for flights so we’ve used it on flights, but we also gate check it, like we did today because the baby didn’t have a seat.
The adjustable handlebar makes it easy for kids to push and they love taking turns pushing it through the airport.
*We do not use it as a stroller at the destination, we use it through the airport, sometimes on the plane, and then as a car seat at our destination.
*We also use it when we’re not traveling. Once the baby outgrows the infant car seat, this is the car seat we use when taking an Uber, or going in a car that doesn’t have a car seat installed. .

Day 9 of our givingPROJECT was COLD and wonderfully inspiring. It was the kids’ collection day to help supplement the Toys for Tots donations that were recently stolen (see post from Day 5). Our friends, Georgie and Allison, came to help out and stuck it out in the cold for the full three hours!
In order to spread the word, I posted the information on my social media and on a few local Facebook group pages.
To be honest, both Milo and I thought that realistically we might end up collecting five or so toys. Every little bit helps, so we were hopeful. But, honestly we were blown away. The kids collected more than 30 toys (and a stack of new books) from good friends, acquaintances, and complete strangers. We also have a few more coming in this week before we deliver them to the organizer! It ended up being such a fun time sipping hot chocolate and chatting (in the driveway 😂) and most importantly, collecting a big pile of gifts for kids who might not get them otherwise. Does it get any better than that?!

Meditation is something that became more and more popular through the recent years 💆♀️ However, if you haven’t tried meditating yet, here are 5 POTENTIAL MEDITATION EFFECTS YOU MIGHT NOTICE:
1️⃣ Feeling “In the moment” 🧘♀️ It is this weird but great feeling of just focusing at what you are doing RIGHT NOW, and it feels amazing!
2️⃣ Better focus 👀 This is the result of focusing on what you are doing right now. Your mind doesn’t wonder around and get distracted as often and, as a result, you feel that you can focus much better 😃 This usually leads to better performance as well
3️⃣ More calm and less worry. Again, it is a result of 1️⃣. Since you only focus on what’s happening now, you worry less, because chances are, right now, you are not in pain and nothing catastrophic is happening in your life. Most of the time we worry about things that CAN potentially happen and not what’s actually happening right now
4️⃣ More energy 🏄♀️ Sometimes, after meditation you might feel like you just got 8 hours of sleep and it feels amazing 😍
5️⃣ Nothing 🤷♀️ Sometimes after meditation you will notice minimal or no difference, and that is ok. It’s usually not the case but we need to be aware that it is ok if that happens, the process is what’s important
