This cute girl!!! Love her curly hair but she never wants to wear it out. Thanks to @lusbrands
her curls are on point today and more beautiful then ever and mommy may have tricked her into wearing them down— at least part way.

IBS can interfere with anyone’s day to day life, I see it often in clinic, so to reduce symptoms & minimise the likeliness of re-lapse- check out my article 💫
Having a good pharmacist is just as important as having a good doctor. I take 6 grains of Naturethroid a day and I prefer to take six 1 grain tablets. I think it works the best. My pharmacist just gave me all her 1 grain tabs because she hates to see me stress over my meds 💜 Thank you #safewaypharmacy
RAW GAZPACHO SALAD 😍😩🥗👅😋 I’ve been having this for lunch nearly every day for the last few months!
It’s so simple, tasty, and takes about 5 minutes to throw together. 🙌🏽 I’ve been talking about overcoming common difficulties with these protocols a lot lately.
Another big one is the amount of TIME it can take to prepare healing meals. ⌚️ So many of the recipes out there are quite elaborate.
And raw meal prep is tricky because it doesn’t preserve well like cooked food does.
As I’ve grown to eat mostly raw, I’ve learned (through many lessons of food spoilage), that it’s best to prepare these foods fresh instead of in advance.
This is not as efficient as prepping cooked meals used to be for me, and it takes a little bit more time!
But it is so worth it!!! It feels so much better and it made a very noticeable difference in my healing process.
So how do you turn a bunch of raw fruits and vegetables into things that taste good on a limited time budget?? Let’s be real, the recipes that call for more ingredients and take more time are typically more decadent and DO taste better.
But it’s important to consider how to work all of this in to your daily life.
If you have a busy lifestyle like me, it’s not realistic to use elaborate recipes for every meal.
They are fantastic to have when you are able to take the time to prepare them (for me personally, that’s usually about 3x per week for dinners...maybe less), but for every day meals, you have to find things that will realistically work for you!
KEYS to TIME-EFFICIENCY:
▫️eat more fruit (grab + go)
▫️work on your kitchen skills so that you can strengthen your ability to throw things together rather than always relying on recipes, because that’s not always sustainable
▫️don’t be afraid of repetition
▫️use the affirmation: “I HAVE ALL THE TIME I NEED”
I have spent a lot of time experimenting with the most time-efficient and best-tasting recipes, and this is definitely one of them! 💚💚 I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
It’s been quite the week 😊 .
I’ve been struggling with my thyroid levels for the last year or so and my doctor wanted to put me on meds and obviously that’s the last thing I want to do. He told me to try to correct it on my own and I did a ton of research over the last few months in regards to nutrition and how it effects your thyroid. .
Found out that my thyroid is FINALLY in a healthy range && I KNOW 💯 that it’s because I’ve been choosing to eat better and limit my 🥂🍷🍹. (Which is super hard right now- umm hello, pumpkin beer anyone?) 😂😂
All I know is that I’m feeling GREAT. My cravings are in check and last night I was able to be completely in control and only have TWO pieces of Halloween candy at a party we went to with our friends. .
Happy Saturday friends 💋💋 off to glow yoga with one of my favorites in a few!
Meals don’t have to be complex. I shoot for as simple as possible 😊... can’t wait to dig into this!! Just bean sprouts, basil, cabbage, chicken, bone broth... ❤️❤️❤️. Love something warm on a cold rainy day!
One thing I get tons of messages about is the moon. Many people are wondering what rituals they should be doing and how the moon influences them. It’s no secret that...⠀
🌙 Your cycle is directly connected to the moon cycles. You are either on a new or full moon cycle with your period. ⠀
🌙 We are mostly water. The moon affects us just as it changes the tides. ⠀
🌙 The same power that exists in the moon also exists in you. ⠀
With a full moon coming up on the 24th a great ritual to embody is just starting to get quiet. I am the most sensitive during new moons because I was born on a new moon, but full moons are a wonderful time for me to reflect. ⠀
I take a bath with epsom salt, write out what isn’t serving me and burn it. I also go through the intentions I wrote on the new moon and adjust. I choose to use my intuition to connect with myself on a deeper level and listen to anything my soul is telling me. Remember ladies, you are magic! 👻
What does your plate look like today? After reading the book, Medical Medium, I have added cilantro, parsley, marine dulse, spinach, and lots of cucumber and celery to my huge salads. I have old, nagging injuries that never really go away and tend to flare up. These ingredients will help out fix the root of the problem in the long run. If you follow me, you know that I use intermittent fasting for health and longevity. Here is how I refueled this afternoon! I notice a huge difference in my energy when I add these specific green foods to my salads, too. Thank you for sharing your incredible work, @medicalmedium

Make sure to always get your Reverse T3 level tested! It could be the easiest way for you to identify why you are still having hypo symptoms even if your other levels look “normal”. ❤️❤️

🕸🇺🇸Different kind of food to help your body use thyroid hormones efficiently (even if you thyroid has been removed). There are also apricots, guava, grapefruit (don’t eat it if you’re taking Synthroid as it interferes with medication), orange, okra, kiwi. You can eat cruciferous but cook them before !
🕸🇺🇸The goal is to reach sufficient dose of vitamins B12, A, C, D, K2 and Calcium to help boost your metabolism regarding thyroid functioning. You can obviously adjust depending your intolerance and diet !
🕸🇺🇸I’m taking Synthroid to help my hormones replacement but I’m thinking to change for natural one (desiccated thyroid) but I don’t know here in Canada how it works for insurance.
🕸🇺🇸Natural thyroid hormones as they include T3 and not only T4, tend to be more efficients than Synthroid (only T4 and if your body doesn’t convert them enough in T3, your metabolism isn’t optimal and you can experiment all negative effects of hypothyroidism)
🕸🇺🇸My T3 from latest bloodtests aren’t optimal but they’re in the middle of normal range. So, I’m thinking slowly to change my medication but not for now. I want to see if I have any improvement with food first.
🕸🇺🇸What kind of medication do you take ? What thyroid disease related do you have ? Part or total removal ?

8 A.M. volleyball for Maddi and 9 A.M. gym for us!! 😍 🤪
There was a time where getting up at 9 would have been a struggle. 😩 I know it seems to good to be true. 🤷🏻♀️ That some supplements can actually change deep-rooted issues like fatigue, autoimmune issues, etc. 😳But y’all, I’m telling you that they can. 🙋🏻♀️ High-quality supplements (doesn’t always mean expensive...💸)have that power. 🌟
You are worth trying it. You are worth feeling better. 😘
Putting your own needs on the back burner only leads to more chronic stress symptoms and leaves you still prone to chronic illness such a diabetes, heart disease and hormone imbalances. If you don't want to end up like one of your family members struggling with any of these, you have to decide to take care of you. End of Story!
No one will give you permission. You've got to own it and make it a priority. Stop giving yourself away to everything and everyone else. It doesn't serve anyone. Seriously- it really doesn't. 💜
How can it benefit the family if you are tired and cranky and not nice to be around? How to can you hang out with your partner and really enjoy some quiet time if you are running on empty? Martyrdom is not pretty and not healthy for a long happy life.
Waiting until everything is done until you take care of you is an OLD belief system that does not serve your or anyone else. It's a cultural entrainment that MUST change. We need to set an example for our daughters that depletion and over working does not equal value. Isn't that one of the things that drives women to do too much. To get value from what we are doing instead of who we are being? Our value is not negotiable. It's not dependent on what we look like, how much we accomplish or how hard we work. It's a birthright. 🦋
Claim that birthright and move in life from a sense of relaxed confidence and balance instead of trying to do it all and be all to everyone. It's an illusion my friend, and one that will keep you chasing the finishing line instead of enjoying life.
Want some help getting a handle on all of this?
I have just launched a NEW 4 week group problem for 6 women ready to say YES to themselves. It's being offered at a special rate to help you claim your power, reclaim your health, realign your mindset and move into the holidays with clarity and calm.
Only $197 for 4 weeks of transformation, community, support and accountability.

Sometimes the practitioner is the patient..... thankfully who I see for my health is a colleague, friend and also someone I trust. After all, when I can read my own labs and know what's up it can make it challenging for a practitioner to take me on. Thankfully I deal with some pretty amazing ones (she also happens to be part of the HWH team)
I know it's not that easy for everyone which is why I started my practice years ago. I wanted to make it that much easier for my patients to get quality of care, the answers they seek and the labs/treatment they request. For those of you who didn't know, I am global. This quite literally means it doesn't matter where you live, I can take you on as a patient.
Doctor telling you no? Let me be the one to tell you YES.
Yes I've reversed my Hashimoto's. Yes my antibody levels are back on track.
So why am I still taking desiccated thyroid? Because my body still needs a little bit of help.
T3/T4 to the rescue! It's all part of the process. #patience #tribe #hashimotosdisease #thyroidhealing #thyroidproblems #lowthyroid #healing #myjourney #health

Yes, you can use natural treatment for very heavy periods but you need the right treatment for your CAUSE of heavy periods.
There are three main causes of heavy periods:
1) thyroid disease
2) low progesterone or “unopposed” estrogen
3) endometriosis or adenomyosis.
Check out my new blog post: "How to Treat Heavy Periods with Diet and Natural Progesterone." Link in my bio. And ask me questions in the comments.
It’s been a week of ups and downs — and it could be SO EASY to freak out, get angry or, worse, play the victim. .
BUT — what can you do? Life happens and FREAKING OUT won’t change the reality of what needs to happen.
So, I’m gonna roll with the punches and do what needs to be done. After a small, time-limited, Pitt sesh. 😂
All 3 of the fuels I mentioned on The Healing Lifestyle Podcast this week relate back to food. ⠀
When I say that food is fuel and food is medicine, I really mean it. ⠀
There are other attributes that help in healing, things like exercise, essential oils, crystals, meditation, etc. ⠀
But food is a big contributor to healing.⠀
Below is a list of all the foods that should be avoided as well as added to your diet in order to increase the functioning/balancing of your thyroid.⠀
Cows Milk (& Products)⠀
Vinegar (Besides Apple Cider)⠀
Sea Vegetables (Bladderwrack, Kombu, Nori)⠀
Cayenne (Red Pepper Variations)⠀
As I looked at this picture at first I felt disappointed and frustrated but after really just reflecting on all i have been through I’m so Blessed.
