Here’s a throwback to 1986. When the Sega Master System launched in North America in 1986, Sega hoped to sell 400,000 to 750,000 consoles that year alone! By the end of 1986, the Master System had sold only 125,000 consoles. Despite its poor performance in Japan and North America, the Master System was eventually a success in Europe where it outsold the NES by a considerable margin. The console also saw huge success in Brazil where it remains a beloved system to this day.

Remember when Former Texans Saftey Benard Pollard intercepted the ball from Tom Brady and 4 running plays later Arian Foster scored the Last touchdown to give the texans the lead and win against the Patriots in 2009 to give the @houstontexans
their first ever winning season in franchise history!
Straight out of 1987, here’s 2 NES games that I played the heck out of when they first released. Both are considered to be pretty terrible my most, but I love them. Back then, the Internet didn’t exist yet, nor did game reviews in magazines. My entire purchasing decision for Deadly Towers was based on the rad box art and menacing game title. As for Super Pitfall, I loved Pitfall 1 and 2 for the Atari 2600, so I assumed this was a safe bet. Both games are incredibly hard and frustrating, but beneath the surface - and if you have patience - you’ll find deep, fun games. Super Pitfall is a rough-around-the-edges, early metroidvania. Deadly Towers is like an 8-bit Dark Souls. Seriously! Plus, exploring and drawing the dungeon maps for Deadly Towers on graph paper is a lot of fun too.
From what I’ve read, Majesco reprinted a selection of SNES games in the mid-to-late-90s, including Contra 3. The back of this particular box has a big printing error on it. Can you spot what it is? I have no idea if this is a rare variant or not. If you know anything about it, please let me know. I’ve seen Majesco copies where the printing error got fixed too. Besides the Majesco wording on the back of the box, you can also tell if you have the reprint version if your manual is black and white instead of color. Plus there’s a separate Majesco card insert if your copy is complete.
