Well what a conundrum that was! Set off for a half hour drive to the forest only to come across a 'road closed' sign. Took the blasted diversion only to take me 10 miles back to where I bleedin set off from!😂Needless to say I was a bit miffed! To top it off, after only 2 miles of running my brain decided to knock down a few interior walls so I had to cut the run in half. Just wouldn't be pleasant bouncing around the woods with a splitting headache. 4 miles today and my legs felt like they should be spinning on a bike, and my head feels like it is still in Canadian time zone! (Help!) Looking forward to getting my running legs back on for some running training.

Some weeks I wonder how I ever managed with my old 9-5.30, Monday-Friday job. This week would have been especially difficult - yesterday I picked my youngest daughter up from pre-school because my wife was giving blood. Of course, not everyone can work for themselves, and I'm very grateful to be in this position. But employers do have the power to allow, and even encourage, their employees to work flexibly. It's slowly becoming more common, but it's far from becoming the norm. Hopefully, as the evidence stacks up about the benefits of flexible working for both businesses and their employees, more and more people will embrace it and it will become the new way of working.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I got in to a hump yesterday as I was only able to perform one pull up without assistance... I got in a hump today because I didn’t have time to run for as long as I wanted.
I got in to a hump on Monday because I had pms.
Point to the story.
I got in a hump on Sunday because Kev ran 17miles and I only did 5.
Every day is hump day when you are as grumpy as me!
A very eventful Garden Cafe Runners run today! We had a camera crew filming us for the next @thisgirlcanuk campaign, one fall and a minor asthma attack. But everyone was fine in the end and we had a gorgeous run, and as always, great conversations. This girl absolutely can. 💪🏻
