The ENTJ - ‘The Commander’, ‘The Executive’
ENTJs are natural leaders and they like to Get. Things. Done. Head-honchos of businesses, military leaders, you know Spider-Man’s boss at the news agency? Yeah that’s the one. Unlike their ENFJ counterparts who make connections and decisions based on feelings and intuition, the ENTJ uses rationality and hard logic to guide them. At 3% of the population, perhaps it is best they are rare, lest they overwhelm more sensitive types. That said, we have ENTJs to thank for many of the businesses we take for granted everyday.
ENTJs love challenges and getting things done and chances are they have a list of goals and/or organised calendar (read Bullet Journal) to keep them going. Because of this, ENTJs like people who share the same thirst for learning, for growing and doing, and, especially, who can hold their own in a discussion. ENTJs are very smart and highly critical and they won’t back down if they are put on the defensive – in fact, there’s no better way to earn their respect than to have a deep, meaningful discussion with them. Less mature ENTJs who have not developed their feeling side or who are a little too ‘all about me” may dismiss others or disregard people’s feelings if they do not believe them to be ‘worth it’.
ENTJs do not give a lot away with how they are doing, as appearing weak is of no interest to this powerhouse of a person. Likely, those who have an ENTJ in their life will know two faces: the ’Gosh I’m enjoying learning/completing/discussing this particular area of my life’ one, or the ‘I’m tired leave me alone *avoids contact*’ one. As a type who has no time for failure or error, those who displease the ENTJ will normally be aware of it. Younger ENTJs fluctuate subtly, and tend to be somewhat indecisive. Younger ENTJs are also likely to be interested in their own life, before their older self will see them begin to fry bigger fish.
ENTJs are assertive, innovative, long-range thinkers with an excellent ability to translate theories and possibilities into solid plans of action. Their capacity for greatness is something we can be thankful for everyday.

I often hear people brag about their ability to multitask. In fact, it’s usually a skill set that employers will look for in candidates. The ability to juggle seems so attractive, especially in a time when information is flowing through a thousand different pipelines.
We want to be the Super-juggler but we can’t. For example: driving and talking on a cell phone. The brain can’t process two things at one time. The research is very clear on this. If you are working with something complicated and you are interrupted, it can take hours of work just to get back to the same state of awareness. There is a rhythm to our work.
The discipline and flow starts with changing our thinking. ☑️Doing more than one thing at a time makes you slower and worse at both tasks. ☑️Leaving several things half done is wasteful. Getting things done implies a completion. ☑️Working long hours doesn’t get more done, it results in fatigue which leads to errors. Work at a sustainable pace. And take a vacation.
