Afternoons spent tea tasting... Rainy Tuesdays, indoors, balcony views. What more can I ask for... •••
Take me back to my favourite Greek island, Zakynthos.
Those days, when it is snowing non stop here in Germany and there was no sun for weeks, I really feel like wanting to break out and fly towards the sun right now.
There's a few things you must do in life. Diving from the cliffs of Capri is one of them. The first time I came to see the island was when I was 18. I jumped into a boat with @iamlisaanita
and we floated into the Blue Grotto cave. Jumping out and feeling the icy cold water freeze your bones and seeing the cave walls around you is exhilarating to say the least. This time, no boats were operating due to rough waters. Sometimes, within reason, you have to walk out onto the ledge in life and just jump. It's was a bit scarey, but jumping out from the ledge to swim into the small cave opening was worth the risk. Coral on both sides, water rushing back and forth... Even inside the cave, the waves reminded me of how power nature is. But seeing the turquoise blue and clear water was amazing. Not an adventure I'd soon forget. 😉💙
Anyone else have a hard time taking photos like this seriously? Museums, statues... even as a history major, I just can’t do it! 🙆🏼♀️
Hello new friends and followers!
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Leslie! I’m Canadian, and a recent university graduate who studied history and French. I love history (naturally), languages (of course), traveling, dogs and cats equally (yes!), God (big ups to the man upstairs for all my blessings, AMEN!), and have watched a ridiculous amount of films.
I’ve been blessed to have travelled quite a few places (I’m currently living in France!) but I’ve come to realize that it’s not about the number of places you’ve travelled, but the experiences you get while traveling! I’ve traveled both solo and with friends, and can honestly say I really enjoy both.
I also deal with a lot of mental health issues - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, anxiety and depression. I’m here to remind people that despite all this, you can still do things you want to do. It took years of effort and work, but if I can do it, so can you! I’m not saying traveling takes the bad days away - it’s about learning to handle the bad days in whatever way is best for you, no matter where you are. ❤️
Introduce yourself! ⬇️ I’d love to get to know you!
