The women whom I love & admire for their strength & grace did not get that way because shit worked out. They got that way because shit went wrong & they handled it. They handled it in a thousand different ways on a thousand different days.. but they handled it. Those women are MY superheroes. ❤️ #therealwonderwoman
Your friend George called and said he wanted to run the Terry Fox run in your honour. You have the greatest friends, Ranjot. We ALL showed up (of course). Today we ran/walked for you. We will teach the kids what strong meant to you. Working hard, helping others and being positive. Cancer continues to hurt people that we love and there does not seem to be an end in sight. It just sucks. Thank you @terryfoxcalgary and @terryfoxfoundation for the inspiration and the opportunity to help us honour our little brother and the strength that all the people that fight cancer have. #werunforranjot#terryfoxrun#endcancer
My real grandma around the age of 15 and me. I feel like I can see the resemblance, can you guys?
This is the woman I was named after, and seeing this photo of her makes me want to know her even more now. She lived a very short but accomplishing life. She never finished school, married my grandfather at 15, but she taught herself how to cut hair, she owned a very successful restaurant, and drove a school bus AS WELL AS have three kids (survived one passing as an infant) and adopted a little girl to love and make as her own. This was done all before she was 50. #therealwonderwoman
September 9th, this magnificent & beautiful treasure of a woman was born. Happy, HAPPY beautiful birthday to this amazing, resilient, wondrous, diamond of a woman. 💎 ✨💖 Words would never be able to adequately express just how much you mean to me & how special you are. You have gone through more pain & heartbreak than anyone I know, yet you still remain positive & become stronger than ever. Wonder Woman hasn’t a thing on you. 💪🏻 I hope & pray that this year will be THE year things turn beautiful for you. Enough time has been spent in the dirt, it’s your time to bloom & bloom bright! 🌸☀️ I love you Momma! xoxo 💋 🌺 (yes, I posted this early because I think we should go ahead & start celebrating a little early! 😉🥂✨💖🌹) •
I’ve been through hell and back ...and when you look at someone and they see you for all good and bad ( you almost feel shy) that’s the most amazing feeling . If someone really loves you... they better love you for all of you . Yes, you should be with someone who betters you but doesn’t bring you down, or make you feel worthless . That’s called a narcissist. The one that loves you sees you for the broken and good and worth fighting for . Don’t let anyone make you feel anything other than loved because that IS REAL LOVE !!! “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.” Audrey Hepburn
JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW...it’s WACKY WEDNESDAY!
So I’ve been told (“inside joke”...for all who received my Thursday text today) Loooolllll!
It’s also Woman Crush Wednesday! Why have JUST one if it’s Wacky Wednesday?! My vote...TWO strong moms, fitness enthusiasts, & impactful women in their craft and communities.
1. Kim Bray Smith...serious real estate! Retired cop, badassery when it comes to training other, impacting lives, but mostly when ALWAYS leading from the front as a leader, wife, mom, true friend and all around woman! My SheRo!
2. Heather Lee Hughes...I always New she was a super hero...this year she let the hero out of the bag! Amazing mom, lawyer, citizen to the community, wife, and friend! She is a no nonsense kinda chic, but also wears her heart on her sleeve! #TheRealWonderWoman
These ladies set the bar for me and I love the both of them with so much of my heart!
Thank you for impacting lives...esp mine...by simply doing what you do...SHE-ROS don’t tell...they lead and do!!! #WCW#SheRoPower#WackyWednesday
